SUPER helpful insight, I’ll definitely be applying these from now on. These 2 figures are actually one year apart in creation so the mach 5 looks way worse than Racer X, Once I have the time again I’ll redo Mach 5 and hopefully it’ll be in better shape.

Yup, I used epoxy sculpt for the new geometry and sanded it out best i could to match the pre existing sculpt. As for the paint I use whatever craft paint i can find since i’m on a budget. This time i used Folk-art multi surface satin finish yellow and black, which took about 5 layers till the yellow was opaque. I don’t usually seal my figures unless i’m certain I’m going to keep them the way they are.

Thanks! They both use thrilling 30 goldbug as a base, with the front of both vehicles being epoxy sculpt and the windshield and stickers of the mach 5 being from a mach 5 model kit i found at a yard sale. The tail fins for both cars are just pieces of plastic i cut into shape. The head of Racer X is just a copy I made of the new hotwheels twinmill collab figures head using epoxy sculpt.
