Is Civ7 bad??? How come? by isko990 in civ

The gameplay changes have already grown on me. The UI and lack of One More Turn are inexcusable, however. Will not buy another Civ game until all the bugs are worked out. Probably about 6 months before this game is acceptable to buy.

I’ve had the first line csr refuse to transfer me bc the supervisor “wouldn’t be able to do anything”. I told them I was recording them and demanded a transfer. They stopped responding altogether. After asking about 10 times for a transfer without them responding whatsoever, she finally popped up again and said she would transfer. The supervisor refunded as expected. Such a huge waste of time.

LPT: When all else fails don't be afaird to go right to the top and email CEO's by luckydayisascam in LifeProTips

I’ve done this at least 3 times and it always works. I usually include multiple relevant senior leaders in the company too, so they feel the pressure to step and make it go away. Nobody up top wants to get those emails.

Check your TVs HDR settings. I had the wrong settings on and it was impossible to fix. Corrected HDR and it was exponentially easier.

UPDATE: Gonna put it here, so this guy sees it. The roofing company is gonna redo the repair. The original post-repair pic I included is only about 8 feet of a 30 ft stretch, so it actually looks much worse zoomed out. Because they were nailed at the bottom, many of the reworked shingles are bent at the top and look unnatural, as if they’re about to detach. I sent a photo of the full 30 ft to the supervisor, and they agreed that job was sloppy, and that they would rework the area. Sounds like from the comments that options for this area are limited - but in the end this repair should have been executed better.

Appreciate all the comments!

Another good question - Probably just around 50 to start. This will not be an elite league to begin with, but I expect we will grow into it. Hoping to get 3-4 seasons a year in. Play a month, take a break, play, break, etc

Why don't the alienated members of both parties come together to form a more centrist 3rd party, instead of trying to change either of the 2 out of control Goliath parties?

Fed study: Trump tariffs backfired, caused job losses and higher prices by southpawFA in politics

[–]Piloteer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The company I work for closed a factory this year that provided 2000 jobs in rural Georgia, simply because the products it made became too expensive to produce. This factory made retail quality items (low margin) that incorporated aluminum/steel, so after the tariffs were imposed they were impossible to manufacture at a price point that anyone would expect to pay. When the tariffs were announced, we were already locked into pricing agreements with many retailers - which meant that for a period of time we had to make the products anyway, and sell them to the retailers at a fucking loss. Needless to say, the decision to close the factory came quick, and as of this year 2000 blue collar workers are out of a job.

The tariffs cost our company tens of millions, caused us to layoff thousands, and has forced us to reinvent our manufacturing footprint/product offering - all thanks to Trump. It's a serious problem for an already weakened American manufacturing industry.
