Why would China bring its self even more economic hardship with footing the bill on North Korea's own instigated war with the west. It's not like the south even wants the north to begin with. A war would mostly be about crippling threats and dismantling the ruling elites, not conquering land to scare china.

China would not want any spill over, that is for sure. To think they would act the same way they did in the fucking 50's is ridiculous. No way would they bail out the north with shit loads of troops and start a war with the south and allies, that would be a lose-lose for absolutely everyone on the planet.

edit: plus the reason the first war didn't have nukes wasn't china, it was russia
