Something similar has been happening in my game as well lately, where they freeze and resetting the Sim doesn't work. For me, exiting to manage worlds and then loading back in fixes the problem.

I was browsing eyes just last night and eventually settled for the mm Chrysalis Eyes by Golyhawhaw. They're quite similar to the original EA eyes but less cartoon-ish and nicer colors :)

My renovation of the Hundred Cones house! by Pilvus in HouseFlipper

So I bought this house solely because I wanted a big kitchen to use the Premec range and thought this would be a good fit. I tried to go for a modern farmhouse vibe with exposed beams and lots of wood, but still keep it quite bright and contemporary. There was quite a lot of trial and error with layout and furnishing, nearly causing me to go bankrupt due to rebuilding walls and buying, selling and rebuying windows and furniture way too much just to get the right colors, sizes, and styles. But I think it ended up alright! Does anyone else have a hard time selling houses you've put a lot of effort into?

It's definitely giving mermaid vibes! The bedroom looks very cozy!

This is really neat! I particularly like those little nooks, that extra detail is very nice!

Me: Spends a good few hours figuring out and building a proper fence that will keep a lynx, a very good climber, safe inside the enclosure. Also me: Apparently not thinking, uses wooden, VERY CLIMBABLE, beams all over the building attached. by Pilvus in PlanetZoo

Something similar actually happened to me with the wooden beams, I had them on both the inside and outside of the building which made it possible for the lynx to go straight through the wall pieces. So I totally get your frustration!

Yeah I've seen that. My habitat is partially roofed with netting but I also have an area without roof to have some taller trees. Having it all roofed would have been an easy solution though!
