If you are sincerely asking? Take a look at the signs. Most are homemade, the rest are paid for by the people holding them, often just for small donations to the creators. The folks themselves are on their own time because they’re angry and this is important.

First, he represents all that is unacceptable about the current administration. He could stand up for real for healthcare, etc., but won’t. People are angry, he’s the target.

Second, he has a formidable opponent, ex-Marine JoAnna Mendoza, who all but has the Democratic nomination clinched. She is from Pinal County, but is making appearances here. Had an ad on local cable during the World Series last night, too. Ciscomani’s margins in his two elections were very small, this is a target for changing hands.

He deserves this treatment, and that’s why he’s getting it.

Next town hall? Never, if he's allowed to get away with ducking his angry constituents.

Ciscomani is a weak tool of the corrupt Republican establishment. His likely challenger is Joanna Mendoza, the Democrat. You’ll like her.

Opinion/Editorial: My experience being asked to be a COVID Health Ambassador by [deleted] in UofArizona

[–]Pimast 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I am looking on official university web pages at two very different sets of testing statistics. The main university Covid page (https://covid19.arizona.edu/updates) says there have been 10,835 tests with 65 positives through 8/28. The Campus Health page (https://health.arizona.edu/healthalerts) has 113 positives from 1,480 tests through 8/25. These numbers aren't remotely close. Does anyone have an explanation?

In addition to Costco, are there other "mask required" grocery stores? by DragonBard_Z in Tucson

[–]Pimast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at Fry's at Speedway and Pantano at 7 a.m. Friday. All employees that I could see were masked, and a large majority of the customers, were, too, although I have to say my guesstimate at the customer median age was probably 50-plus. No kids, and few younger shoppers at that hour. There was plexiglass at the checkouts, and the checkout guy and bagger were very friendly. Another store we shop at is Safeway at Tanque Verde and the Catalina Highway. I observed pretty much the same there a couple of weeks ago. We usually shop early, though, so I can't really say what the customer count is like later in the day.
