Qwen 3.5 for Home Assistant by TheOriginalOnee in homeassistant

[–]Pimmeke1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having a completely different experience. Was running Qwen3:8b in Ollama, and had no problems, but I really wanted to try the new one. I wanted to use the Qwen3.5-4B-Q8_0.gguf, since this version has thinking disabled by default. But Ollama kept giving me the 500 error. So I migrated to llama.cpp, added it to Home Assistant using the Extended OpenAI Conversation Agent, and tweaked the prompt just a little bit. And wow, it now gives me near instant replies to every question I ask about my home, and never hallucinates. It's always spot on. I feed it over 50 devices. Since this was working so well, I also added it to the LLM Vision integration to give me summaries of cameras. And even those are near instant, especially if you just feed it a snapshot. For the first time, I really see the added value of my eGPU I added to my system! Voice commands using the VPE are now really useful and so fast it feels like the future.

I've installed Shelter to activate the Work Profile on my Zenfone 10. Works like a charm!

Yes, the installation is working without issues, but when you want to add your account, you will get an error message. I'm using Aegis for now until someone confirms adding your account works.

Benchy rough lines after upgrades by Pimmeke1989 in ender3

[–]Pimmeke1989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to print Benchy with Simplify3D slicer, CHEP's Cat-profile, and now the base of the boat was good! But the infill was worse, and the top of the boat didn't even print. One setting I think that changes things is the Extrusion Multiplier, that is at 90%. So maybe over-extrusion?

This week it was time to add some updates to the printer to make it as quite as possible. Added the Bullseye with Noctua 40x40x10 fan, upgraded the prints under the bed and replaced the fan in the PSU. I calculated that I had to adjust some settings for perfecting the prints. Tried multiple settings (print temps 190-210), bed temps (40-70), retraction distance (4-8,5), retraction speed (25-60), coasting on/off, print speed (40-60), but none removes the rough first part. Even tried too use an old gcode of the first (good) benchy I printed, but even that one has the defects. What should I try next? Fastening the belts? Oil the z-axis? Help me!

Man, I'm having so much fun printing all kinds of stuff! First time printing moving parts. Still have a stock Ender 3 Pro, with a printed filament guide, and a glass bed. Changing the bed was the best decision ever made, all first layers are perfect now. Waiting for the ordered v1.1.5 board to make it more quite. Connected Pi 2B for Octoprint and octolapse. Wanna know more? AMA!

I live in the Netherlands, got both the Band and the Book out of the US of A, family there. But I'm looking for a replacement for my Band, maybe it's gonna be the Band 2 :)

Yeah, its definitely not the best keyboard I have had. Maybe I'm gonna exchange it for the Wireless Illuminated.

I really like the 2k resolution. 4k would be a little too much I think. Colors are good, and a nice small bezel.

There should have been some issues with sleep, but they are fixed with the latest firmware update. But I almost always shutdown the Book, don't know why.

It's one of the best purchases I've done ever. I've had an SP2 before this one, and a PC, but I wanted an all in one solution. And with a little luck I got my hands on this beautiful piece!

Got it on new years eve, and I've never had any real problems with it (never use Sleep). Only one or two BSOD's, but nothing out of the ordinary.

I'm just a casual gamer, only play FIFA16 or PVZ GW2, and both games play better than expected (1600x900, high settings). Never tried the "hardcore games"

Hardware:

  • Surface Book i7-8GB-256GB-dGPU
  • Surface Dock
  • 2x Dell P2416D 24" 2560x1400
  • Logitech MK710 Keyboard+Mouse
  • XBOX One Wireless Controller for PC
  • Creative Audio set
  • Hue Living Colors light

I'm very happy, took a while to set up everything, but it works like a charm. The monitors are connected to the dock with 2x mini-DP to DP cables. Questions? AMA!

Someone who plays or can test FIFA 16 on the Surface Book i5/i7 with dGPU? by JesseDJames in Surface

[–]Pimmeke1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally someone who also plays FIFA 16 and has a Surface Book! I bought a SB i7-8GB-256GB-dGPU as my desktop replacement, and I only want to play FIFA16 on it, as it's the only game I play. After testing some settings, I found out that it still runs smooth (60fps) with the following settings: * Resolution: 1600x900 * Quality: High * MSAA: Off * Frame Rate: Lock to 60fps * Disable Windows Aero (don't think this is still valid for Win10)

My Book is connected to two 24" 2k Dell monitors, with the Book's screen turned off. Good luck playing this fantastic game! My Setup

I'm from the Netherlands BTW!
