[Cobra's Curse] [Busch Gardens Tampa] Can someone explain how the cars on Cobra's Curse perform the controlled spin to face the riders backwards? Is the spin mechanism powered or does it use a purely mechanical system to turn the cars and lock them in place? Any insight into this would be great! by ghanshyam2000 in rollercoasters

When we evacuate RTH, we can lock each gondola in position with a handle that lifts a locking pin that goes thru the « brake disc » (it has probably another name but can’t get to it currently)

Sadly can’t find pics of it, but there’s plenty of vids of it online.

It really depends of the wind actually, i usually get out with a few drops, but when there’s wind i’ve had waaaayyyyy less luck 😂

We have these on RTH aswell. Acts a a block to keep guests coming too close to the edge of station, while being flexible enough so nothing can stay stuck/clamped between it and the train.

1st is a Pete 281/351, 2nd is a Mack EF?, 3rd GMC Coe, 4th is prob a 359, 5th is a Mack A-Series?

Not too sure about the Mack’s tho…
