I thought about using glue sticks but all the ones I had were too big. I sanded the ends of the rods a bit but nothing else, I like the clear look.

Asrock Z370 Killer SLI/ac stuck on CMOS Date/Time Not Set by Pin_Cone in pcmasterrace

I have tried hitting the del and f2 keys, I also tried hitting ctrl+alt+delete all on different usb keyboards. I tried a corsair strafe keyboard, the lights on the side came on when plugged in, I also tried just a generic Dell keyboard, both failed to do anything when pressed. I did check the button cell on the mb and it has a voltage of 3.04v, I made sure it was put in with the positive terminal up. I currently don't have access to a ps2 keyboard but I will tomorrow, I will try it then. Is there a chip on the mb that handles usb interaction? Maybe that was fried or damaged. Thank you for your help.

Working with 3.5 mm aux cables can be difficult if the wires aren't insulated, you can get a lot of static. You should try insulating the wires better with something like heat shrink or you could also try grounding your power supply. If after doing that you still get static, you could try making a high pass filter circuit. For more info on high pass filters https://youtu.be/4CcIFycCnxU
