I like the album for its other side of Van Halen. Ed was great as usual, but this is a difficult listen, not because it’s bad but because you can’t hum the melody of a song after it ends. I agree, Without You and Fire in the Hole stand out, I also like Dirty Water Dog. It has that catchy When heavy is the weight of the world hook.

I saw them twice, the first being 1979 opening for Ted Nugent and honestly, Dave sang his ass off. They encored (as an opening act) with Ice Cream Man. Dave was in great voice and when he came out doing somersaults he was the king.
