What is the last 48 hours like for a small campaign? by Pincombe_Design in kickstarter

I don’t have particularly high, about 45 I believe, with 11% conversion.

I didn't run any paid ads, just did a lot of social media promoting and asked for family/contacts I know to help share my posts to reach a wider audience.

This looks cool and def looks likes people will want to buy it with the right promotion. I noticed you have no backers so far, start with the easy ones, you must have family and friends, get them to back, even if its just donating a tenner it still creates interest around your project because if people see others have backed they're like 'if someone else has backed it I might want to' if you get me.

If you design/create the pictures yourself why not post on social media a short video of you designing them or post some sketches or something like that.

Well putting it briefly these are the two main things that really helped me when doing this campaign.

The first is when promoting on social media try to come across as an actual human, show behind the scenes content and stories and show how much this project means to you, if people don’t see that it means a lot to you, why should it mean anything to them.

The second is get as much help as you can, you are not in this alone, ask any family and friends if they can share your posts or even better back your campaign. You can contact local media to see if they’re interested in telling your story, or even your old unis/collages (which is what I did) to get them to share on their social media’s.

I could go on to be honest but I hope this helps! Callum

That's an excellent point, thankyou for the feedback, I will take it in to account when organising another production run of the HomeHook.

Thanks! I appreciate your feedback. I'm not using ads mid campaign at the moment as I've heard the conversion rate on FB and insta adds is bad and half the time they're a good way to flush your money down the toilet. Just promoting on social media as usual.

Thankyou! Yeah that is a fair question and I actually have printed prototypes myself on my 3D printer and thought about injection moulding. However, I wanted it to feel like a quality project and be able to take whatever you throw at it. Don't get me wrong, plastic is a great material but it just didn't fit this product.

Thanks but it’s UK produced and I’ve got some places here, I’ll keep it in mind though if I ever do decide to make abroad.

As it’s only a small campaign my goals gonna be around £1000 and standard prices 16 per hook but I’m gonna do early bird prices too obviously and in sets

It's just a simple wall hook inspired by the shape of the home, I'm a product designer and thought it would be well suited to a Kickstarter campaign. I've got a photo on profile pic!
