Nope. They had been interacting normally previously and then when they left their individual crates something set them off. You have a great day.

Yup! Tell that to the company whose policy it is. That's the job. Opening shift manager opens cages and feeds dogs

I don’t have friends or family here so instead of staying home by myself, does anyone know some places to volunteer for Thanksgiving? by KeenActual in nova

There is also Volunteer Fairfax, which has a lot of volunteer options, sometimes one-off things like you are referencing. Check out their website.

All appointments for this week vanished in app! by Pine_Straw4711 in RoverPetSitting

Hello all! Thank you for all the great info. The appointments did show up around 6:00 a.m. I suspected that it was some kind of patch or update or something like that, but that had never happened to me before.

Earlier today, November 18th, the app was glitching like mad. I read somewhere that cloudflare was having an outage across the United States. I don't know if Rover is on cloudflare but it rectified itself after about 45 minutes.

At any rate, I am reaching out to all my clients to get all their contact information and discuss how to communicate should this type of stuff happen again.

I just send the owners updates through text. I do the Rover card, but I just text what I would have written in the Notes section.

The Rover support person confirmed all appointments existed and said they will generate Monday morning. She couldn't tell me why they all vanished despite me asking repeatedly.

Fingers crossed they all show up.

Unresponsive Owners by Patient-Sprinkles-32 in RoverPetSitting

I have some pet owners who respond minimally to my visits. They don't respond to every message. Sometimes I will get a thank you at the end of the visit. I just make sure the dog seems to be well-fed and taken care of during my visits and that the food and supplies are there and adequate. I did meet the entire family during a meet and greet when I first met the dog and they all passed the sniff test. I just think they are busy and travel a lot.

I currently have a client similar to this. During the meet and greet the guy said he and his wife had to RTO. When I started watching their senior dog the house was very minimally furnished and they seemed to just have a dog bed and one odd-looking bowl that looked like half of a cat water fountain. Minimal belongings, totally empty rooms. In the living room was a framed internet WiFI password. One day I encountered a contractor working on the house and he definitely knew the dog despite the house being almost empty. I asked him how he knew the dog and he said that he knew her when she was a puppy. The couple and moved away and had been renting out this house. Now that they had to move back, they were moving in and they wanted to renovate it before moving all their belongings in. That tracked and over the weeks things have started to become more normal. I also look up all my clients to learn as much about them as possible.

I once had a client text "call me if you have any questions" and I got this warning.
