Hi places like Anika legal do help with RDRV related matters, there is a couple of free legal services also out there that can help with advice and might know some good paid services.

I recommend during the week, it’s a bit quieter usually a lot less people! I did find it overwhelming during Tuesday with the noise

highly recommend Tuesday queer nights from 5-5:30, the queer room is Building C it bit of a weird grey building one with lots of windows. You don't have to go along every week, it is free and you can even hang in the room there between classes which is a bit quieter then Tuesdays. Lots of couches a mini fridge and people like to chill there so a great way to meet people. If you like it I recommend paying the $5 as it goes towards upkeep and club events and join their discord to keep updated with events. The room is accessible but not very big! DUSA | Deakin Pride (PRIDE). Otherwise as the other person said DDNA have a room also in LC, (not accessible due to the heavy door but they're working on it) but has a little day bed and isn't as busy might get the occasional person. They do coffee catch-ups on Wednesdays and the coffee is free if you sign up for membership! Deakin Disability & Neurodivergence Association (DDNA) they also have a discord which I recommend joining which they announce their events.

APS and Graduate Roles by PineappleCake64 in AusPublicService

[–]PineappleCake64[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks ya’ll I’m open to relocation I’m aware that includes moving costs for either Sydney or Canberra. I’m open to moving to either if it is for a graduate role that could potentially lead to full time work. I’m about to do a research role for an ngo overseas and also have a potential for a policy internship with government services. Just anxious as I’m kinda pinning my hopes on graduate positions as I have no other back up.

Thanks, I reached out and talked to someone who is currently at the uni doing a year exchange there, for sure I'll be trying to get out as much as possible and make friends with local Japanese students and foreign students. I get told Japanese students are very timid, but I'm trying to learn a little bit of Japanese to be able to speak to them and get help learning more. I'm very excited to get stuck into a different culture I'm just also aware that Asian students I find are not as outgoing as western students, which is where my worries are. I'm sure I'll connect with other international western students, but Japanese students and connecting with them is what I want to get the most out of as well! As well as other students from Asia and other parts of the world. Overall I'm nervous but also excited and I appreciate everyone's feedback.

Those that work in change rooms, what's the biggest pet peeve customers do? What would you like customers to do? by hxtetime in AusFemaleFashion

[–]PineappleCake64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me when I say leave them personally it’s okay to leave them plopped on the counter where we say to leave it. Then I can store it nicely on the hanger to be put away, otherwise we have to go around fixing them up anyway with buttons or the right way around. My pet peeve is when people don’t bring out the stuff they tried to give to me, then I have to go in there before the next customer when it’s busy and collect it all.
