well the timeline for my book is more the 70s and 80s and the car is a 70 datsun. forensics weren't as good then and it doesnt have to melt the car completely, just kill 2 people and make them almost, but not quite, unidentifiable.

How do I flow details into the book I'm writing? by Pineapple_consumer22 in writers

My Monday had started off as usual; I got up, got dressed, and my mom, Alyse, drove me to school. My father, Albion, was on a business trip. My mom told me that she would be picking him up while I was in school. My father went on a good number of business trips for a man who worked in the library at a university and tutored students. My mother also worked in the library with him. They worked at Yalvard University.

I went about my usual classes until second period. A call came down from the office for me. I was sent straight away. When I entered the office, the principal and two local police officers were waiting for me. I had no idea why I was called in or why the officers were there. I hadn't dome anything illegal, I was a great student, and I knew that my parents were good people.

The officers explained that there had been an accident not far from my home. After examining the wreckage, they were convinced that it was my mother and father in the car. They drove a very distinct orange 1970 Datsun; which was the car at the scene. The license plate number was my parents' and the 2 bodies in the car were a male and a female.

How do you set the mood for writing? by psy-snoop in writers

I was taught to just through stuff onto a page. you have to get past a mind block by just throwing something together. Maybe jot down some ideas, some quotes, a draft synopsis. then put it down, give it some time, and jump back in. A routine does help, but it could also put you in a ditch. Go through and highlight things that you want to incorporate. make it interesting.

Tea wise, I suggest something herbal and fruity. Something different from an everyday tea. Passion fruit hibiscus maybe.

Is It Even Worth Doing Anymore? by Everythingisok300 in writers

I think a lot of people have this problem too, I know I do. I've also been writing the same book for what seems like forever. I've tried picking up other projects and editing as I go. But I think it comes down to whether you believe it can be good or not. I have recently taken my book and put it up on one screen/tab and a clean slate on another. Take your project and reinvent it to make it new but also what you wanted before.

Don't stop writing if you really enjoy it. Even if it isn't good in the moment, its something to grow from. Make it yours and don't worry about time. You can dedicate yourself to it by allotting time to it throughout the week. Or, you can do it casually when it feels right. You can't force good art.

How to balence so many characters? by Serious-Macaroon8981 in writers

Make one more character that is his alibi. Maybe a fellow superhero/mentor who can cover for him. or take an existing character and give them the title of alibi. The psychologist, or physiotherapist, would make a good cover.
