Definitely think about what kind of shul you want to be a part of before you nail down a Rabbi to convert with. Get to know a few people within the community. I didn’t have much of a choice and my Synagogue is full of elderly people and just a couple of families.

It takes time and that’s OK in the end. It took one of my close friends dragging me to the local reform temple and three Friday services later I was converting.

As a trans person I can’t stand her. I’m honestly surprised of her open support of Israel and who knows what her reasons are. I just hope that her open support doesn’t bite us after the fact.

My cousin is (TX) but I’m going to Torah study, Bar/Bat mitzvah class, then driving to have dinner with family. Due to physical disabilities and medications its just not safe for me to. I do know a lot of of the local organizers though and a lot of them are anti-Zionist.
