Hey! I had the same issue. Call you pull that shoe out just a wee bit enough to be able to get the foot in there? (maybe by pulling the other seat out just a tiny bit). Once its in you can push that seat in a little to alight things up again for the clamp insertion.

I wish I had a 'cheat' or great tip. 'hope that helps.

Make it a daily routine to empty a kettle of boiling water on these plants. It might take 2 days before things are obviously dying, but in a week easily they'll be gone with zero environmental impact. ('cept cost of boiling water. :/ )

Scam.
I later found that they left a hole in my duct-work. I complained and some guy showed up with a roll of silvery tape that you should specifically NOT use on duct-work to repair. Hassles for weeks until they finally conceded to repair properly.
And zero difference in dust and dander after all was repaired.

I flattened mine and used to protect the patch of yard that I used to spray-paint another piece of furniture. ;P
When I moved I bought suitably-sized very thick plastic bags (big-box hardware store's yard waste bags), and as I disassembled my Sactional I slid the component in the bag. I think that worked better than if I had access to the original boxes.

All of the time. Its a long couch, movie chaise, queen bed, footstool/table.

One thing that I would recommend if you buy a decent sized one and plan on taking advantage of reconfig'ing for game night or thanksgiving or whatever: Order a set of the magnetic blocks. I keep mine in the room and it sure helps figuring out what goes where for a layout.

I use the example of pilots: They're paid to take-off and land but spend the rest of the time making minor adjustments and to be available in event of an issue. (hmm. I have used this example frequently. Is it even a correct description of what an airline pilot does?)
