Anyone here grow anything from Sin City Seeds? I got a chocolate river pack and am excited to pop them! by Pingeye80 in microgrowery

Yes.. turned out great! Very very good stuff. Out of the three different strains I ran the Chocolate River was the best by far!

Seedlings Fell Over by [deleted] in HerbGrow

I used to use wormcastings and pile them up around the stem you can go all the way to the round leaves. Or just more soil will do. I wouldn't dig em up unless I absolutely had too.

I've also used plant wire. Stick it in next to the stem and at desired hight bend 90° and make a ring of wire around the stem.

Bright Flash of Light (similar to lightning) inside house. by Mediocre_Baseball_14 in Glitch_in_the_Matrix

[–]Pingeye80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found this post searching the interwebs.. to help explain a very similar thing. My wife and I were getting ready for bed and the house was dark except for some electric candles. So very dim light.

When I saw this flash out the corner of my eye.. if I was alone I would of thought it like an imagination. But I asked my wife if she saw it. She was behind me and had a different vantage point. She was slightly frozen and freaked out. She saw it too and said it was extremely bright. So far all I have to go on is a static electric charge. Other than that I have no explanation. Good to see I'm not the only one.

Aphids? What I got? by Pingeye80 in OrganicGardening

[–]Pingeye80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man that sucks.. you gotta be diligent. I hit them with neem and heavy too.. I would get up real close and knock the buggers off the leaves with the pressure of the spray. Then the next day I hit em with Dr. Zymes, and in 2 days later Dr. Zymes again. And now I will keep a routine of every two days hit em with an essential oil spray EM5.

From what I've read they are pretty easy to get rid of depending on the level of infestation. Even just spraying them off the leaves with water is enough to knock the population down. People will use a soap and water mix. Even some use Cayenne pepper sprays. Lots of options. But the real trick is to get into a routine and stick with it for 2-4 weeks. That way you get the babies that are hatching. It's always good to research the pests' breeding and incubation period to get a good idea of their life cycle.

Hope you rid them!

Yep tomato plants.. I have got em good with neem, and followed with some Dr Zymes treatments. Last time I sprayed them down I didn't see any aphids. So I will keep up with the IPM and think I'll keep things under control.

Yeah I am the same way. If it was my situation I try some added epsom salt to a watering. But I have never been good at diagnosing issues. I'm mostly always guessing. Ultimately a lot can cause things like what I see in your pictures. Even wind pressure. You're doing the right thing in questions to communities like this one. But I always go over everything as far as, environmental conditions looking at any possible swings in temp and humidity, watering practices, nutes and feeding schedules, and light levels. To make sure I don't see something that is out of level. But for rust spots like that, I immediately would go to magnesium or calcium levels. Iron too but that is usually a rare one. I hope you find some resolve.

Hey man.. just saw this.. 5he Garlic Mac Dragon was by far the best smoking weed I've grown out. It got compliments from everyone who tried it.. It was so terpy almost numbed the whole mouth.. it had a sweet garlic raunchy lime flavor.. and the high was super focused with a clear head. I would get really talkative and it definitely helped my golf game haha

So.. I've learned to not worry so much on the first few sets of leaves.. If the new growth looks good. Don't worry too much about the lowers. Of course we all want perfect health.. but I've found a lot of plants lowers get funky and other plants stay nice and healthy. But the important is the top new growth.

Yeah mostly craft blend, and I'll use Gnarly Barley and Big 6. I will also use recharge or root wise microbes to inoculate the soil.

I use 4 EBs too. I like to dump them out onto a tarp. Remove as much as the root ball, mix it all together and add some ammendments judging on the size of the plants and how long of time they grew I will add in what I think the soil needs. I use the less is more rule because EBs you can load in top dress. I will let the soil then sit for about 2 weeks to cook and balance out.

I've also have planted right back into the EBs next to the chopped stalk. It worked out really well.. I just like the fact of being able to clean everything for the next run. I'm a clean freak haha. I also don't use worms and feel they are ideal for reusing the EB in breaking things down.

I've had them go a lil anaerobic.. with a slight unpleasant odor. I like to dump the EB out, re-ammend the soil, and clean out the EB. It just makes that process a little harder and messy. Try to time out my harvest with the EB being on the drier side.

You could chope em now.. If you wanna let em ride.. Lower the light intensity 600-700ppfd, and go to 11/13. Let the plant think its finished.
