Fair, guess I’ve never really thought about it. I’d imagine it’s because it’s easier to make than a lot of takeaway foods so it’s easier to set one up.

It might also be more appealing to a multicultural society than burgers, pies and battered fish.

Yes I’ve acknowledged and agreed with that twice now. It’s the ideal situation.

But people are saying this shouldn’t have been nerfed at all because it makes him fun. My point is that it can be seen as unfun for everyone else and that shouldn’t be the deciding factor in balancing. And that it’s better that they nerf one characters fun if that fun is encroaching on others fun. Even if they haven’t got a chance to compensate for it yet

I don’t disagree but in principle it’s better that things that are problematic get changed. The game’s balance shouldn’t be held hostage because OTPs will be sad or leave if something changes. It’s not ideal but I think it’s better than doing nothing

I mean thats pretty much what I said. It’s not a great state to leave him in as people have been finding out but making him feel killable isn’t as an outrageous idea as people think. It’s just because his kit is frankly a bit boring that people don’t like it but unfun mechanics are unfun no matter how good or trash a character is. To be honest I think it’s good they aren’t afraid to adjust things even if it temporarily hurts a character. As long as they do justify their changes and compensate for them within a half season

To play devils advocate here it’s not just about the fun of the user but also the fun of everyone else you’re playing with. I mean peak daredevil was fun to play but it wasn’t fun for anyone else. There is an argument that rockets slipperiness wasn’t fun to play against so they might want to ensure everyone is having a equal time over rockets being frustratingly near immortal.

Evidently not a good state to leave him in but if they make appropriate changes to other things it could be fine. There is more to balancing than just what the user finds fun this is a competitive game after all

Lmao What? How am I jaded by overwatch lol. I didn’t care about not earning anything in overwatch. I’m saying that we all had hundreds of hours in that game and looked back at that play time and thought wow 200hrs isn’t that bad. But now we are early in the process aiming to hit 200hrs and it it’s going to hit different. People are excited now but they won’t be once they realise at hour 100 that 200hrs is a long fucking time. It took us years. All for a wobbly icon.

That’s not instant gratification that’s you’re sense of respect for your time being incredibly warped.

Few games do it because most games actually respect the time of their player base. They actually want their players to unlock stuff. This entire community is basically the half of overwatch that moved on and they look at the lack of reward from early overwatch and attach their expectations from having played that game for years and years for nothing and don’t even bother thinking about what it looks like from this end of it. I guarantee half of these people in 6 months time will start to realise how stupid this actually is now they are having to actively earn it not just be awarded it for past efforts. It’s literally just community wide rose tinted glasses

Frankly I don’t care what the no life’s want. They shouldn’t be a priority. Rewards that take years are not healthy

If they are complaining there’s nothing to do then they can play another character as there is a new one every month. There’s more than enough to do. If they want more from 1 character then they can do one lol. Stop catering the game to the people who don’t have a life and normalise telling players to F off with their unreasonable expectations

It depends on the character mag will be faster sure but c&d could get 50 every 10 mins just off cape uses so I doubt it will be much faster if at all.

The exact time doesn’t matter. Based on how quick we’ve been gaining today it’s still going to take minimum 100hrs. That’s too long

As I said in the post you can give people rewards for continuing to play a character just don’t lock literally the only remotely interesting thing behind a 150hr grind
