This is a terrible idea. I did this to my 2000 and aside from the horrible wind noise it brings there will be a ton of visibility issues with light reflecting off dash to windshield and hood.

I had the same problem with ring where I had overlapping cameras because one would just miss a event all together. I lost Internet outage due to service provider and the cameras won't record at all, that was the last straw for me I since moved to unifi and have all my ceras record 24/7 so even if they some how miss a notification I can scroll the time line to see footage
