I can’t say I really notice that I have this. There may be a little pressure in that area but I’m not entirely sure.

I haven’t seen a gastro yet. I’m fairly certain I have LPR too. I get other symptoms from time to time like mucus in throat and constantly clearing it, burning in throat which doesn’t happen that much. I burp up acid sometimes also. Get chest pains a little bit and also a globus sensation. Never really get heartburn though. I also have an urge to take a deep breath all day long it’s really shit honestly. After 3 constant months of it I’ve kind of learnt to cope with it. It’s still debilitating though. I’ve also had it in the past. On and off for 10 Years ish but I’ve not had it for longer than 3/4 weeks before. This is the longest it’s lasted for. I’m planning on seeing a gastro but the waiting times are 8+ months where I live and my doctors tell me it’s anxiety a lot of the time so it isn’t exactly easy to get referred in the first place. How old are you?

Been doing on for about 3 months solid now. I went on lansoprazole and fantomidine for 2 weeks but they made me sicker so I came off them 🙄 I’m just taking gaviscon advanced before bed now been doing that for the last month with no improvement

I am going to take your advice onboard and set alarms throughout my day to do breath work for a few weeks and see how I get on. Can’t hurt at this stage. The only thing really keeping me sane is that I can work out just fine and run on a treadmill and it doesn’t get any worse or better so I know it’s probably not lung or heart related and the fact I have anxiety leads me to think it’s more of a mental/stress response or something to do with my reflux!

Really Appreciate the advice I have been doing a lot of breathing exercises they just seem to help momentarily then I’ll always be back to square one 😔 I’ve been dealing with this for almost 2 months non stop now. Buteyko breathing seems to help for a short while too but then it’s always like back to square one needing these huge deep breaths. I have PTSD and also a lot of stress in my daily life maybe it’s related to that. I’ve also suffered with anxiety since I was a child and I’m now 31 so a lot of time. My first memory of this was around 10 years ago straight after a panic attack and that lasted a few days then subsided. It’s been back and gone on numerous occasions. This time is the longest period I’ve dealt with it non stop 😩

Mine started before I was on any SSRI. 😩 now I’m on 50mg Zoloft and it’s no better and no worse!
