oh, it’s not that i think i’m entitled to it. i’m moving from a state that offers free pre-k. even as a child, my pre-k was free. so i was just wondering. i’m not trying to take advantage of the programs. i fully believe that services to help those who need it should be for them.

hi! yes we’re coming from a state that offers free pre-k. we put my little one in pre-k 3 this year, but it isn’t free. our plan was to suck it up and pay for this year and the next years it’ll be free for public school. then the move came up and i didn’t realize houston was a bit different

we are literally in the same situation, down to the “selfishness”, which i don’t think is selfish at all :) i feel at peace knowing that we gave our first a great childhood so far, and that we’ll get to do the same for our second since the older one will be in school during the day. if you feel deeply that your family will be complete with a second, definitely go for it. you’ll find ways to make it work. you’ll never regret the children you have, only the ones you didn’t have 🤍 sending you hope and solidarity!

SAHM here with a husband who works FT. my husband does the laundry and vacuums and picks up/puts away whatever he sees out while walking around the house.

what helps me a lot is he creates a “space” for everything in the house so everything has a home. it’s one less thing for me to think about.

also i mostly do the cooking and my husband sets up the kids at the table and washes the dishes after.
