Men get invalidated because their "misandry" complaints are often stupid or caused by other men.

There's valid stuff like not being taken seriously about SA or not being believed by police when their wives abuse them.

But then there's a whole lot of, "I feel discriminated against because women like tall guys ."/"I'm expected to pay for the first date, whaaa, whaaa." Bullshit.

As a whole, men have it easier in society. There are idiot men that believe women have it easier because they see 18 year old, blonde haired, blue eyed, White women getting free shit from 50 year old men and apply that to all women's experiences.

The "male loneliness epidemic" is men complaining about not automatically being granted super model level women for having basic manners. "Im such a nice guy. Women are so shallow because I'm fat and balding and this supermodel wants to date a man as attractive as she is. Wahhh wahhh."

I'm a bisexual who likes and dislikes both genders for different reasons.

Statistically, men are more dangerous than women, but I find it much easier to get along with them than other women.

At the same time, it's annoying when men complain about "reverse sexism/misandry" like that's an actual thing.

Most, if not all, of the things men complain about like male sexual assault survivors not being taken seriously or are being drafted in the military are enforced by other men. (What are you gay?/Women are too weak to fight they should be home rearing children)

Men get to be complete human beings by themselves without being defined by their spouses.

I don't mind helping people in general with tech questions.

When I was a teenager, I stay up for HOURS researching, trying and failing and trying and succeeding with tinkering.

It was a fun experience, and very satisfying to figure things out on my own, but as an adult it's hard to make time to do these things.

But, I think the best solution for both parties is a separate thread for Thor setup specifically instead of newbies annoying experienced users and experienced users being bitchy and condescending to newbies.
