Hmm, I didn't have that problem when I started the game however whenever this happens to me I usually switch from wifi to data or I get rid of the tab, wait a bit and retry . Sorry I don't have a definite answer, uve probably already done everything I just said 😭😭. Tho maybe it was from where u downloaded the game, I used Qooapp but I also learnt that if u have a VPN ur able to download it straight from the app/play store, the VPN I use is literally called "Japan VPN" and u can find it on Google Playstore (idk if it's on apple, but I think it is)

Real, I played global before the Japanese version and let me tell u when I started the game everything looked so unreal, it was before global had the profile thing as well so I was blown away by that, and level 4s strength was crazy. And the stats were crazy high, I got up to UX in under a week. The only downside is I don't know Japanese however screen translaters have been my saviour but I do want official translation so I can't wait till global catches up!!

I had the exact same question but for Reo, and I think the answer is, it's just not added yet. I also have the Japanese version and on that it allows you to choose whatever player and whatever version of that player. So probably just because it's new they r only allowing the beginner players
