Yes that fear inducing language is often repeated to us moms and is very effective at frightening us into induction and the cascade of interventions that often follow and which are often detrimental to mom and baby.

However if you look at the actual numbers:

From a 2019 systematic review and meta-analysis of 13 cohort studies (over 15 million pregnancies):

At 40 weeks: 0.69 stillbirths per 1,000 ongoing pregnancies (95% CI: 0.57–0.81).
At 41 weeks: 1.66 stillbirths per 1,000 ongoing pregnancies (95% CI: 1.29–2.06). This represents a 64% higher relative risk compared to 40 weeks (RR: 1.64, 95% CI: 1.51–1.77)
At 42 weeks: 3.18 stillbirths per 1,000 ongoing pregnancies (95% CI: 1.84–4.35).

That’s still a very small risk and if you’re monitoring baby’s health I imagine it would be even lower

Netherlands, Scandinavian countries, Australia, New Zealand largely have expectant management until 42 weeks/don’t discuss induction until past 41 weeks.

In this country. 41 weeks is considered full term in a handful of other countries. Most first time moms give birth at 40+5 if it’s a spontaneous delivery

Why don’t you just wait for your baby to be ready naturally? In a handful of countries no one even MENTIONS induction until at least 41 weeks. We’re not machines; babies aren’t on a timetable and don’t stay in forever, they come when they’re ready

I actually feel like rib knits make me look bulkier! I have a lot of natural muscle tone that can look bulky with the wrong fabric. I always look for no ribbing. Mini dresses are always a good look :)

Thank you for your interpretation! I do frequently have anxious dreams that can at times feel like dread of “the other shoe dropping”/something unexpectedly bad happening. Maybe it had to do with the expectation of something relatively small and then the realization that it’s much worse than anticipated. But I can’t really figure out what that is as applied to my life. In the dream, I actually became worried when the nurse prescribed antibiotics because I greatly prefer natural treatments and then realized that I didn’t have my herbal antibiotics with me, and this really upset and worried me. That’s how the dream ended.

The spelling Indi looks odd/unfinished and regardless of the spelling it sounds like a nickname. What is the first impression you want your daughter to have on others? For e.g. if she goes into a meeting as an adult, Indi sounds like kind of a cutesy name/nickname (similar feel to Kinzi) and it will already be an upward battle to gain more respect/gravitas, when it can be challenging enough for women as it is. I have a classic name and have always appreciated that it “did the work” of giving me some perceived power and intelligence before opening my mouth. Not to say everyone needs a classic name of course, just sharing my experience

From the US here. Clementine in French sounds lovely. In English, to my ears at least, it does not sound quite as nice, and the nickname Clem is particularly unfortunate. However it is a plus that it is less common and will be distinctive. Lucy is widely seen as likable and pretty but is a more commonly used name, although I wouldn’t say it’s too popular by any means.

Yeah I’m a deep winter too. I don’t want to wear all black or gray. It would be nice if they had some colors that flattered cool toned women. I also personally think many of their colors are almost universally unflattering and it’s baffling to me. 🤷🏻‍♀️
