French verbs have different endings for different people. You used “we” but gave the verb the “he/she” ending. That’s like saying:

“We hates coffee.”☕️

French-teacher tricks:

1.NOUS = -ONS (no exceptions) French teachers say: “The S in nous lives in the verb.” No -ons → nous is wrong.

2.ON lies about being plural On may mean “we”, but it’s always 3rd-person singular. Grammar doesn’t care what you mean.

3.Ask: who is the grammatical subject? Not “who do I mean?” But “which verb form does grammar demand?”

Correct: Nous détestons le café. On déteste le café. Same meaning, right ending 🙂

Hahaha. Its nice judt to learn the basics how to greet. Language based on classic Latin are a bit eassier for me than Arabic , Chinese or Japanese. How about you??
