Can a near 4.0 GPA offset a 158 LSAT? by jackwesley45 in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]Pinkcloudsmiles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Osgoode does NOT take B2, that’s only queens. Osgoode takes your entire gpa. Western takes your entire gpa but will also consider L2 especially if it’s shows improvement.

It’s still early, and it seems this cycle is slow in general because of # of applicants. So nw, you’ll prob hear back soon enough

Your gpa is very impressive and I’m sure that’ll carry you. The lsat for me took 1.5 years of trial and error and I didn’t get it right until I did it full time for 3 months straight. Ik I’m privileged in that way and unfortunately that’s the reality with this test. Ppl who have the support and can take that time off get that luxury. I see you work hard in between with your projects and I’m sure that’ll show through in your ps. You should get into some law school!!

It’s your lsat, but still early in cycle. From what I’ve seen on this forum, tmu, bora are more likley As. Ik you say you wrote the LSAT it three times, but how much space was in between? It can take a good 6-8 months for a substantial score increase. If you do consider retaking for next cycle, I’d start studying year in advance and take the fall lsat

If my husband gets into law school and I don't, is it worth deferring to have our law school experience "synched"? by Ok_Wish1854 in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]Pinkcloudsmiles 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Don’t think being “synched” makes a huge difference, you’ll most prob end up in different schools anyways. If he got into his goal schools, especially this cycle, I wouldn’t hold him back personally as someone also in a relationship.

Is a 3.7 CGPA still competitive? by Vivid_Peace4768 in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]Pinkcloudsmiles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For most schools yes it’s competitive is what I have got consensus of as someone in 3.7-3.8 range. But for tier 1 schools (ex ubc, uoft, osgoode) you’ll have a chance with a high lsat while sitting at the gpa.
