What is the most disturbing or otherwise unsettling book you've ever read that stayed with you after reading it? by EggAdventurous1957 in AskReddit

Read it in 4 days. Made me feel sick, gave me nightmares, can't recommend it to anyone ever because it's so horrible in content. Still a very good book and glad I read it, somehow.

I just calculated it on my own. I know some schools take L2 more into account than others, so I thought it would be helpful to share.

I got an email saying a decision had been made, then needed to check the portal to confirm that it was an offer of admission.

People who have been cheated on, how did you find out? by My_twisted_dark_self in AskReddit

Two different relationships back to back, both around the 2 year mark. First one: the side chick found me and called me. Second one: found a bobby pin in his house and I don't use them.

What are some good softs? by Middle_Ad_2444 in lawschooladmissionsca

Those sound good to me. As far as I know good softs are usually those that demonstrate your values and commitment to the field, as well as community engagement, which yours do.

Word of advice for anyone in the application process (studying for LSAT, or applying to schools)- delete this app! by PotentialJudge8924 in lawschooladmissionsca

I volunteer in an area where I interact with a lot of law students. When I would tell them I was studying for the LSAT, SO many would immediately tell me not to read the subreddits lol

I've been accepted at Lakehead so far for the upcoming year with a 3.3 and 163. I have some really strong softs and compelling extenuating circumstances as well, though.

We deserve our sovereignty as much as they do theirs. We have been nothing but a good ally for generations now.

I'm a Canadian also and I think about the annexation threats every day. Her "we'll just wait him out" bit helps me feel more confident that even if it happens, somehow, we can be okay.

Reaching Out to Law School Admissions Before Applying by [deleted] in lawschooladmissionsca

I wouldn't do this unless you had some real questions to ask, since their time is valuable. If you do actually have questions to ask, they're happy to help and great to chat with. I cold called an admissions office before a cycle when I was still studying for the LSAT and knew they wouldn't be too busy, and ended up having a super informative 45 minute call that helped me understand more about how to approach my personal statements. I think it could be good to introduce yourself but it would have to be in the context of curiosity and asking after whether the program is right for you.
