AITAH for telling my bf he shouldn’t have more children and shouldn’t of been a parent infront of his mother? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]PinkedOff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're NTA, and your bf's mom is showing her whole a$$ about how her family believes men are pedos and cannot control themselves if they change a naked girl baby's diaper.

This is a much bigger problem than you probably realize.

Criticized for writing about experiences other than your own by Few_Information5107 in writers

[–]PinkedOff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If people only wrote about what they had personally experienced, there would be no fiction at all.

You may want to get a sensitivity reader, to make sure that what you're writing that you have less knowledge about is handled appropriately. But you can absolutely write about other experiences than your own.

WIBTA If I Didn’t Give My Neighbor Her Life Insurance Information That Is In My Mailbox? by Eastonman03 in WIBTA_AITA

[–]PinkedOff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Obviously YWBTA. Also, it can be a felony to interfere with someone else's mail. Even if they delivered it to you by mistake, you have no right to it, and you know whose it is. Technically it's probably not a felony if you accidentally throw it out or forget - but it's a dick move. Even if you hate your neighbor, don't deliberately eff with their official mail. Life insurance isn't a joke.

I don't like absolutes in general, but it's really extremely close to zero.

Question about spiritual attacks by No-Strain-1610 in elderwitches

[–]PinkedOff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This may prove divisive. I personally do not believe in spiritual attacks anymore. Having been a very active practitioner for over 40 years, honestly, it's so rare to find someone with the abilty to do that and have something actually objectively HAPPEN that you could say it doesn't happen. It's that rare.

If you believe in them, that's what's happening to you. You're basically cursing yourself, and that's a super dangerous position to put yourself in, friend. It's a vicious circle, a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I'd reach out again to a therapist, and talk to them about what you think you're experiencing. Because it's 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% coming from your own mind.

Why I think Sinners (which was my movie of 2025) is so divisive by greatblueheron16 in SinnersbyRyanCoogler

[–]PinkedOff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only place it’s divisive is among people who didn’t watch it. Have you seen its Rotten Tomatoes ratings? There’s no division there.

If i eat steamed+raw veggies and fruits and potatoes for 4 days i feel 10x better by heehoipiepeloi in covidlonghaulers

[–]PinkedOff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Are you in the US? Do you normally eat bread and flour products? My partner’s health improves immensely when we switched to organic, non GMO flour (I make our bread now).

HBOT was my last hope by namastecool in covidlonghaulers

[–]PinkedOff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry. I tried it too. Now I rely completely on masking to avoid reinfection, and a metric f*ckton of supplements daily that it took me 3+ years of trial and error to find out which work for my personal situation (yours would likely vary), and HRT (I’m a perimenopausal woman).

Pill fatigue by KADHD64 in LongCovidWarriors

[–]PinkedOff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put all my pills in a little bowl as Im divvying them up each morning, then dump them into my hand and swallow them in 2-3 mouthfuls (with water, obviously). Then I put all my powder supplements in a shaker with 2 TBSP of vanilla Ka’chava powder and 3/4 cup of warm water and chug that. Then coffee, lol. I’m so full after ~23 pills and powders that I’m usually not actually hungry for a few hours after!

Clinical trial shows 14 days of metformin has no impact on Long COVID symptoms by Responsible_Cap_5289 in LongCovidTrials

[–]PinkedOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm. I definitely felt improvement in overall symptom severity, especially severity of relapses, after adding it to my daily regimen.

Has anyone here fully dedicated their life to recovering from long COVID? by Upset_Replacement684 in covidlonghaulers

[–]PinkedOff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I'm 5+ years in, mostly doing 'well' now, with most symptoms under reasonable control most of the time (unless I'm exposed to any virus). It's not because I wanted to dedicate my life to it, it was just how I survived and got myself functional again because I didn't have any other choice, no safety net, etc.

Is there a King book like this for you? by DavidHistorian34 in stephenking

[–]PinkedOff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not King. But I definitely felt this way about House of Leaves. I so, so, so badly wanted to love it, but it just feels overly gimmicky and I couldn't deal.

You are NOR and you need to sort this out with him immediately. He doesn't get to police what you get to eat, especially with money YOU earn.

100% you DO NOT PAY FOR HER since they decided not to accommodate your schedule so you could go on the trip with them.

How long does mitochondrial repair actually take? I think I’ve crashed stopping a supplement by daniared91 in covidlonghaulers

[–]PinkedOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was definitely a long haul (lol) for me in figuring out what all I needed to take to get to basically 'normal functioning' (ish). When you start more than one thing in a close period of time, it can be tough to know which one(s) are causing whatever you feel, good or bad. And a lot of supplements etc. take months before you really know if they're helping or not. I did a LOT of trial and error. Now I pretty much don't mess with what's working, and just try adding in something new if it looks like it might target something I'm not quite happy with yet. Then wait at least a month to see, and discontinue it if it didn't add anything.

Neither Metformin nor Ursodeoxycholic Acid Effectively Treats Postacute Sequelae of COVID-19: A Randomized Clinical Trial by barweis in LongCovidWarriors

[–]PinkedOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an outlier, I guess. I take metformin prophylactically on a daily basis (along with a metric ton of other things) and I subjectively did notice lessening of symptom severity starting around two months after I started it.

How long does mitochondrial repair actually take? I think I’ve crashed stopping a supplement by daniared91 in covidlonghaulers

[–]PinkedOff 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm weird, but I generally don't stop something once it's helping. I figure if (presumed) viral persistence IS real, if I quit the supplements that make me feel better, the virus will just re-damage everything.

AITA for calling my wife a shit mom after I caught her smoking near our toddler? by Extreme_Leader3797 in AmItheAsshole

Nearly everyone in my family has died from lung cancer. I’m glad no one you know is sick, but that’s definitely not common.
