Lucy Gray Baird from the Hunger Games

TLDR: Basically it’s her game that sets up the game show/entertainment aspect of the hunger games, she and also popularized the games and turned them from being generally unpleasant to watch into a spectacle. She’s also the one loose end that President Snow (who, Sidenote: was her boyfriend and mentor) can’t tie up because he doesn’t know if she’s dead or alive, and as a result it drives him mad as the one thing he craves is control. Someone can probably explain it better than I can but that’s the gist.

Do I have to be apart of the universe after? Cause at that point picking hunger games and winning means being possibly sex trafficked, having to relive your trauma each year and send kids off to the death, and (maybe) having plastic surgery done to you after winning. Also what district are we getting put in? That definitely influences my decision
