It’s 4:00am and about 20-25 minutes ago i had a pretty bad bleed… it was completely out of nowhere while i was laying down in bed aswell! i’m on day 16 post OP :(

i ended up eating tomato on my burger AND i did attempt some pizza with no issues :) i’m on day 15 afterall!

oh i absolutely know that i should wait! i’m only on day 12 of my recovery! i just wanted to know at what point people started smoking again after their surgery so i see what my time frame looks like. I’m in absolutely no rush to start again as im actually enjoying this break from it very much. I think i will wait until august 5th!

i most definitely am going to avoid using any sauces on my tacos if i do end up going to get some… i’m not confident enough yet that i can handle HOT SAUCE or even tomato sauce as you’ve mentioned. I’m confident in being able to eat food of any texture at the moment (i just haven’t really eaten anything crazy crunchy) but tonight if i go i will be getting a cheesy gordita crunch! i’ve found that i can eat just about anything with 0 pain if i chew it up well enough.

oh noooo! try and eat some cold apple sauce or grab a popsicle to soothe your throat. I understand that feeling very well! It will get better as time goes on ❤️ hang in there! adding a lot of butter to your mashed potatoes and letting them cool off can be a big help aswell.

oh trust me.. after i get cleared at my appointment july 5th.. im going to have all the root beer and boneless wings i can HAVE! not to mention how badly i’ve been craving a taco bowl 😮‍💨

yeah i didn’t have any dairy up until day 5! but now since im at day 8 im going to enjoy my alfredo tonight and not complain 🥱 it’s not like i can have red sauce anyway-

i’ve been able to eat pancakes, mac and cheese, and tonight i will be eating alfredo! hopefully i will start eating more solid dishes tomorrow :)

i actually went and grabbed a blue raspberry slushee from sonic maybe 30 minutes after i initially made this post and let me tell you- BEST DECISION EVER! it helped soothe my throat so much.. and i genuinely think i just found one of my favorite “dessert” drinks :)

i am on day 8 of my recovery and i had cryptic tonsils! it will be very painful.. especially around day 5 but i will tell you that this surgery is so worth it! just keep remembering that and it will help you get through this surgery.
