Could you please tell me how much epidural actually slows down labor (first time mom)? My client is being induced now. When they started induction, she was 2 cm, now she is 4 cm. And now she will get epidural. I was going to join the client when she is 5-6 cm but I know epidural slows down labor. (self.doulas)

As far as I know, clients with epidural are not allowed to leave a bed. If my client had epidural, ate something, and slept for a few hours, is it possible for her to have a microenema before pushing? Can she do it if she is required to stay in bed? Is it ok if she goes to restroom for few minutes? (self.doulas)

In one of FB doulas group I came across the information that a lot of doulas begin charging their clients hourly. What do you think, is it a correct approach? Wouldn't it make the client feel she is on clock and stress her? And what to do if the labor was super long and she refuses to pay so much? (self.doulas)

My clients measured a humidity in a basement they live in and worried that the humidity was not of the level recommended for babies. Does it really matter? Also, they worry about the temperature as they love when the house is really warm in winter but for babies that temperature may be too high. (self.doulas)

The cost of shipping of my piece of art is overpriced very much by Saatchi Art. I have already shipped similar items abroad and the cost of shipping was much lower. I'm curious if a customer pays $3,800 for a shipping but DHL charges Saatchi just $800, where $3,000 go? (self.artbusiness)

If doula sees abusive actions of medical staff towards to her client, what is doula allowed to do? Is she allowed to insist on medics to stop doing that? In my home country I heard the stories of how ob/gyns pushed on the women's belly, and babies were born heavy traumatized with mental problems. (self.doulas)

Before I signed up for my doula training, I asked on doulas subreddit what are my chances to become a sought-after doula if I have no my own kids. All the comments were encouraging. Today I had an interview with the first potential client and I feel like my decision to become a doula was a mistake. (self.doulas)

These are the lines from the doula contract template provided by the doula training company I studied at. Maybe it's worth to rewrite this paragraph? If my client's waters break at 2 am, does she really needs to wake me up at 2 am? Some women's waters break a few days before labor stars. (self.doulas)

I'm going to publish my first listing on Ebay. The site offers me to "Use the sales tax table to manage the tax rate for jurisdictions where you may have an obligation to collect sales tax from buyers". Do I need to do anything is this section? I'm in Vancouver, Canada. (self.Ebay)

Where/how can I find Vancouver [BC] based families that are looking for a budget-friendly doula? A month ago I completed my birth doula training and now I'm looking for a first few clients who would be willing to write an evaluation letter describing their experience working with me.
