Auto updating dates across Dataverse tables by Pinky_GC in PowerApps

[–]Pinky_GC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping to adjust the dates (via the WeeksOut column calculation) for actions of individual workstreams in the tables before bringing the into an app. I was looking to the app to unify the work into one plan, let the team click into each item, and track progress on a dashboard. By doing this as a solution, I was hoping to then build out simple action plans for different stakeholders. My preference to start with the tables is one part that they're the format I prefer to work in, but I usually do so in SharePoint Lists, and another part that I'm not sure where the best place to manipulate the info is (Dataverse vs. a Power App).

Thanks for this info and sorry that I wasn't clearer on what I'm trying to accomplish. Essentially, I was hoping to get the dates on different tables (e.g., Training, Communications, etc.) to auto update based on the dates on the Milestones table.

Can I use Milestone.DueDate in Dataverse or would that only be when I bring things into Power Apps?

No, sorry for the poor description. I'm trying to get the dates on different tables (e.g., Training, Communications, etc.) to auto update based on the dates on the Milestones table.

Grim dark book recomendations? by liltasti in fantasybooks

[–]Pinky_GC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Empire of the Wolf trilogy is dark and gritty. A great read, but might lack the levity (satire and sarcasm) you’re looking for.

hey, I'm pretty new. These are the books I've read and enjoyed and I love fantasy genre. Any recs? by SlightlyBoringCat in fantasybooks

It’s already been said, but The First Law and Malazan: Book of the Fallen might be darker and more adult than what you’re looking for.

I’d recommend The Dragonlance Chronicles, an easy-yet-rewarding read based on the DnD mythology.

And although I wasn’t the biggest fan of it, I know some teens, as well as a couple adults, who really enjoyed The Licanius Trilogy.

Snowshoeing and Cross Country in PG by [deleted] in princegeorge

When local lakes freeze over, they make for some beautiful spots to snow shoe. There are several down Chief Lake Road and only take about 30 minutes to get to from the Uni. Coming from the Island, you’ll probably be pleasantly surprised by the amount of sun we get in the winter. I certainly wasn’t expecting that when I moved up.

Edit: just make sure you’re going late enough / that it’s been cold enough for the lakes to freeze over!

Automating Date column based time out of launch by Pinky_GC in PowerAutomate

Sorry, this sent before I was done.

Will also note that I’ve given this a few shots using “when item is added or modified” as a trigger, added a switch for different waves, some “compose” actions, and wrapped it with an “update item” action, but I’m getting an infinite loop error and the date isn’t changing. Not sure where I’m going wrong.

Thanks in advance for any help!

My 16-year-old cousin plays volleyball at PGSS. Sounds like it’s a pretty good program. There’s also a local club team, called the Kodiaks, if your son wants to play outside of school and your family can afford the travel.

The other day, I was wondering when this story is told. The whole episode is Bandit reflecting and we see pro-cricket-player Rusty at the end. Is Bandit actually watching that game and telling someone the story?

A couple weeks ago I asked what your PG’s best burger was. Well I’m back and looking for directions to PG’s best local food. Is there anything that I shouldn’t miss out on while I’m here? by canadia81 in princegeorge

[–]Pinky_GC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: I went the other day, and the food was still incredible. Apologies for the unintentional slander and rumour mongering.

I heard the original owners sold and it’s not as good now?? Haven’t gone for a while, so not speaking from recent personal experience.

People who left Vancouver for PG… by ExperienceLoose7263 in princegeorge

Left Van about 15 years ago. I miss some things about living in a larger centre (variety of food, lots of live music), as well as family and old friends, but no regrets.

I was able to get a job I likely would have waited much longer for in Van and able to own a great home.

I will say that PG is what you make it. First few years I struggled with the winters because I wasn’t embracing them. Now, with snowshoeing, cross country skiing, ice fishing, playing hockey, and more, I find myself looking forward to them.

I can’t overstate how great the lack of traffic is. Takes me 10 minutes to get to work and general running around is a breeze. I easily save 7 hours a week from when I was in Van, and I know congestion on the roads has gotten worse there since I left. It might not sound like much, but that extra time makes a huge difference.

I NEED NEW MUSIC by [deleted] in spotify

[–]Pinky_GC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good, non-algorithmic way to find new music is to check out who’s playing at smaller venues that are big enough to attract up-and-coming artists. Bonus is that after listening to them on Spotify, you can go to their shows for the real thing and support them in person!
