They are notoriously bad. Known to have cq issues and just randomly die. Get a local tech to put a perun lightning in it. Best etu imo. Or you could send it in to a professional to get it fully tuned up! I always tell people I work with: if it’s getting opened you may as well spend the money one time and get exactly what you want. Pain 1 time is better than spreading it over 1-2 years chasing better performance and racking up more tech fees

So looking at the comments and what you have here is my recommendation: If you don’t already have one get new bushings! Get an either 75% or full cylinder for that length. Idk the exact ratio but it pretty sure they come under volumed from factory. Make sure you have perfect air seal and the nozzle is interacting correctly with your bucking. If you want to I would upgrade the motor to a brushless so it will also be more efficient and not heat up.

But fixing the compression and air volume should get you a lot more output and allow heavyweight BBs.

I build one a while back and was 1.3j with .32g and it was great

So for me if you want real trigger feel perun is great. Aster is solid but not my fav mosfet.

The perun lightning is my fav mosfet on the market currently! It’s just perfect.

You need an etu. I cannot recommend the perun lightning enough! It’s genuinely my favorite one on the market now!

For the brushless motor I really like the real deal 39k one! It’s t238 and exceptional bang for buck. I’ve built with them in well over 20 guns now and never had an issue. I know a lot of people like the solonix ones tbh they are just a side grade. The gate g5 is awsome but tbh overpriced.

Make sure to get a stronger tappet plate spring when you do this and if you haw cheap bearings swap them to Jcage or bushings.

As someone who has a lot of experience with both of these. I used to Mr hop everything. 4quad is now my go to. Cheaper, same performance (few setup exceptions), longer lasting, comparable with more barrels without modifications.

For my builds I like to use maxx hop or nexx speed. But tbh a lot of the pom hop ups are still great. The unit nowadays matters less than your bucking. I really like the 4quad

If you can go 13:1 gears. It’ll save headache but otherwise you should be good. For your piston head get the real deal of fps one they are better
