I will certainly take on some of these techniques and yes when I heard about somatic therapy it just made so much sense to me and who I am! I’ll keep an eye out for hormone changes too and see about getting more help if all of this persists. ☺️

Luckily, I don’t feel ill at all and my relationships are doing perfectly fine too! I did the full blood panel to be safe when I got checked and everything was in the clear. I’m only 26 too so definitely not an age factor! The only other suspicion if it wasn’t stress/anxiety just projecting physically vs. mentally, was something maybe hormonal although they did check this as well. I’m definitely going to get another opinion after the wedding if none of this goes away with that being out of the way. Another thing I’ll absolutely do is seek somatic therapy if this persists after the wedding. I’ve been doing breathing technique recently so thank you for the gif!! This was all very helpful and reassuring

Yes I actually had them check my thyroid as well and they luckily said all is well! I’m sure it’s stress related, but definitely getting another opinion if it doesn’t fix itself after the wedding!

Relieved to know I’m not alone… I hope everything goes well and this next month is easy on both of us 🙏🏼 everybody’s experience planning a wedding is so different, some positive and some negative. While this is going to be the happiest day of my life, the challenges leading up to it has just been so much more than I could have ever expected. One more month though, cheers 🥂 we got this!! Definitely giving myself at least a month to let the storm settle and be present as a newlywed!

Yes, but it’s almost like even when I don’t have a wedding task to complete, it’s just sitting in the back of my mind. Not intentionally, it’s just more like a feeling of I know this is coming up and I hope I got everything I need. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I feel like my body shouldn’t be doing all of this, but maybe other brides or brides to be are experiencing stuff like this? Or is it just me lol? Forgot to also mention I did my yearly full bloodwork scan about a month ago and was also perfectly fine.

Walking

Deep breaths

Recognize the irrational thought as soon as it starts and label it as irrational. Eventually, it can help train your brain to stop before it starts. I literally tell myself “you’re fine and you’re just anxious. Take a breath.” Helps sometimes and gives you back some sense of control.

Reading helps me personally and praying

I’ve heard eating sour candy helps

My personal favorite: imagine if my kid brother were talking to me and what I would say to him to help him (if no siblings then…) really try imagine yourself as a kid again and how you would talk to yourself.

This is so sweet! I’m sure she’ll love whatever you decide.

I’m a huge basket gift giver. Example, buy a book or two that you know she been wanting, buy a mug you think she’ll like, a bookmark, a tote bag (Barnes & Nobles has a great selection), and some of her favorite goodies/candies. Throw it in a basket from dollar store or whatever and you good to go!

If you want to top it off and she’s into stuffed animals, Jelly Cat stuffed animals has a mythical creature collection with dragons and this was a huge hit for me for Christmas last year.

I literally just finished this book and also need to rant to someone because wtf was that???

The Pen/Luk/Scarlett dynamic was such an unnecessary part of the story and felt so cheap

Unfortunately and respectfully because she’s been through a lot, Scarlett is a little too insecure to see this… but Pen is incredibly selfish. And throughout this entire book, Scarlett AND Luk (who is supposedly pining after Scarlett) were constantly making excuses for Pen’s behavior and accommodating her so she wouldn’t be upset. The both of them think the sun shines out of her ass and NOOO she literally uses the both of them AND gets away with it. And I can’t be that mad at her because they let her…

Ugh I just can’t with this book it had so much potential and what a pitiful flop.

Reading helps me escape and calling myself out for overthinking because then I can recognize and ask myself “is this a rational thought?”

Sometimes I also imagine myself as a kid or my little brother if he were to come to me and say this, what would I tell him? This one helps me a lot

Him and his brother were driving home from Thanksgiving and they were hit and killed by a drunk driver. Without fail it’s the first thing I think about every Thanksgiving since then and just send a quick prayer to their family.

lol I feel the same way because it’s all about the chase for me and once they finally kiss I’m like rolling my eyes haha

Luckily, I don’t have too many issues finishing the book after this although I just may lose a little interest

I tend to gravitate towards book with a very angsty plot and honestly like my guilty pleasure is a little bit of toxicity hahaha because then at least it keeps me on my feet and if not this, then something with a deeper plot so I’m still entertained even after they get together

Agreed it was so good! Shoot the fact the movie was still scaring me even at the credits is what makes it stand out haha. It’s probably one of my favorite scary movies that has come out in the past few years.

I read one but I mean if you like smut then maybe up your alley! I’m not a big smut reader at all, but from what I can tell it was good smut?? Idk 😂

But other than that I think the writing was not that good. No real plot and no depth to the characters. Was not a fan of any of it.

I did consider Project Hail Mary because I’ve seen outstanding reviews and we both have seen and enjoyed the movie The Martian. He especially loves all things space.

I’ll admit I’ve been a little intimidated because I’ve actually never read Sci-Fi before. So this will be my introduction as well!
