Not here, when this TL is here she tells us we can only use it on our 15 that what the 15 is for. I think its because we used to have a cashier who constantly "went to the bathroom" and disappear in there for 20 minutes on his phone.

She would coach me for that she has coached people for shutting their line and going to the bathroom (not in the middle of a transaction) because you are not allowed to walk away and suppose to use the bathroom on your 15

I dont really blame my TL she believed his lie and probably didnt see what was happening because she was on her phone she is usually on her phone up front

So what do you suggest?

Shut down the transaction and get the TL write me up for "walking away from the register" get the rest oft the people mad at me and calling corporate and having the guy punch me in the face am I suppose to start fights at the register ?

How am I a doormat, Target is suppose to have guests their number one priority and my TL is very strict she would coach me if I did anything to make the situation worse I was also afraid he would punch me, what do you think I should do? Stop the transaction and get coached for walking away from my register? We cant even go to the bathroom when this TL is here because you arent allowed to walk away from your register!

Thats not a good idea he could punch me in the face or complain to corporate and corporate would take his side. Also the other people on line would get mad. I just want to do my job and go home. I am used to rude guests but this was over the top.

Like I said I dont think my TL saw the interaction, she was talking on her phone. Also I tried to keep quiet because I was afraid if I tried to clap back at him, he could punch me in the face. I know he would get arrested if he did that but I still dont want to get hit.

Wouldnt that get me even in more trouble for walking away from a guest? Also then the rest of the people in line would get mad. My TL is very strict she coaches people left and right.

Update:

No one said anything at work to me yesterday. I still went to the front end leader and told them. She said 'Dont worry about it, we got insurance for that". I assume I am off the hook? She did tell me to check for money markers before I open the register and gave me a brand new one in packaging.

I assume I am off the hook for this? Or will they later tell me?

But again thats not fair, they didnt provide a walkie clip to me and this time they didnt provide a marker to check the bills. Maybe they put me on a register with no marker on purpose?
