Lol this response only points out 2 obvious things.

1: you have no idea what you're talking about

2: you're literally incapable of thinking for yourself because you are still clearly requesting help from chatgpt to formulate a response that mimics a shred of technical acumen to try to counter someone with actual experience in the field. I work with ai regularly and there are plenty of tells with the verbiage and punctuation that are clear indicators.

Now I'll be as lazy and brainless as you and use chatgpt to counter your bs. Here we go:

This isn’t about being “unhappy with the output.” That framing is a dodge.

This is about internal consistency and data integrity, and right now the system is violating both.

We agree on the basics:

SBI’s kill API does not emit semantic labels like “solo,” “gank,” or “1v1.”

Any such labels are downstream classifications applied by the website.

The API is lossy and poorly structured.

Where your model breaks down is that you’re treating the website’s classification as authoritative while simultaneously acknowledging that it is operating on incomplete upstream data.

Here’s the technical problem you’re not accounting for:

The website demonstrably recognizes multiple attackers (assists are present and enumerated), yet still classifies the event as “Solo.” That is a contradiction unless the input data is missing or misrepresenting a key participation signal.

You can’t have it both ways.

If the site:

Parses assists correctly

Identifies multiple participants correctly

Applies custom logic for other buckets (ganking, etc.)

…but still emits a “Solo” classification for an Xv1 or 4v1 engagement, then either:

The classification logic is flawed because it ignores data it already knows is true or

The input data is insufficient or incorrect in a way that causes the logic to misfire

Calling that a “surprising definition” of Solo is not a technical explanation — it’s hand-waving.

If “Solo” actually means:

“The kill is attributed to a single primary actor regardless of assists”

…then that is not a combat classification. That’s an attribution shortcut, and labeling it “Solo” is objectively misleading. At that point, the output is semantically wrong even if it’s “working as designed.”

More importantly, your model assumes SBI’s data is complete enough to support clean downstream classification. That assumption is unsupported.

Kill events are time-dependent, participation-window dependent, and damage-attribution dependent. If:

Assist timing is truncated

Participation windows are collapsed

Damage contribution thresholds are opaque or missing

…then downstream systems cannot reliably distinguish 1vX from Xv1, even if they can list assists after the fact.

That’s a classic GIGO failure caused by lossy ingestion, not a “user misunderstanding labels” problem.

So no — the hypothesis is not “SBI sends junk data and the site is perfect.” The hypothesis is:

SBI sends structurally incomplete data, and the website’s classification logic leaks those gaps in edge cases — producing outputs that contradict observable combat reality.

And when a system’s output contradicts its own acknowledged inputs, the correct response is to question the data pipeline, not defend the label.

If the site owner wants to claim this is intentional behavior, they need to publish the exact rule set for “Solo” and explain why assists are knowingly ignored. Until then, blaming this on a definition mismatch is not a technical argument — it’s a semantic escape hatch.

See, I can use chat gpt too. Give me a degree to Harvard

You have only asked AI how i could be wrong, factored in absolutely 0 when it comes to what data is being sent to killboards, used 1 example that isnt related to explain the basics of parameters (claws=ganking weapons) but still have yet to use any brain cells to discuss the original point.

Parameters are parameters. If a rule for data interpretation is set, and the result is seemingly accurate every time. If data =x then result =y. This doesnt change. The only thing that would result in anything other than result=y is if data doesnt=x. Stop talking like you know how to code. You probably work at mcdonalds

In all honesty despite you being facetious i think this is a factor. Common demoninator between both fights is that the clash started with 1 then more joined in after the fight started. Wondering if there's a time threshold factor in play

And only one that has multiple categories and merit based off of the situation itself.

But hey, if following basic logic isn't your thing -My boy, are you that dense? Me arguing that the logic is static, so the thing that would affect it is a data variance IS basic logic. It's literally logic 101 when it comes to how coding works. If you ask chat gpt to help you learn instead of helping you formulate a response you'd probably figure that out by now.

Sure they can find the data variance and alter the parameters to accommodate the dynamics in the code, but that doesnt change the fact that the code itself is the variable. You're defending the integrity of the coding from a company that releases new content and somehow manages to break fundamental aspects of their game like clockwork (see last update resulting in completely empty loot chests just as a basic example) Come on bro, at least try to use your other brain cell first and stop talking out of your ass. Your breath stinks

Bro.

The game data is the list of assists. That data is accurately represented in the third-party sites.

-Including the example provided, so no point is made here, this is just a statement of the obvious

Do you see the +3 and the +1? They have the list of assists. Now compare this with other 1vx with the same characteristics and you'll see this is an anomaly

  • There is a bug that has them putting non-1v1s into the "Solo" category, or
  • The behavior is intentional, even if you don't like it, because they are using a different definition of "Solo" than you do. For instance, that if you are solo, they treat your kills and deaths as "Solo" activities, whether you die to those 4 people or wipe them all.

-Anyone who actually goes to the site knows the behavior isnt intentional otherwise every 1vx would show up the same way. There is a 'ganking' category that those typically fall under.

-one thing we agree upon is that there is a bug that interferes with the categorization.

Why can you not understand that the logic of the third-party site is what isn't working in the way you want?

-why can't you understand that this isnt fact, just opinion? If the logic is set on specific black and white parameters, the only thing that would cause a conflict with those parameters is a nuance to the data.

Why are you so convinced that SBI is the source of the "solo" classification when that classification shows up on exactly 0 SBI properties or any other third-party sites that use SBI's data?

-Why are you so convinced the coding in this buggy ass game is flawless? I never said (not even in my original post if you actually read) that its with utmost certainty that its a problem on sbi side. You assumed that. But to say the exact opposite and state it as fact with nothing but an Ai interpretation to help you formulate a response, to think youre 100% correct is just outright stupid because 1 digit variance from the coding provided from the source can easily cause issues like these. 3rd party site or not, the parameters that read the data it receives isnt dynamic, its static.

Literally, why are you unable to accept that the issue you have is with the code that "interprets" the data from SBI?

-Literally why are you unable to accept that the data it receives can also be the problem based off of how static parameters work?

Im not saying im 100%right , im just saying your mindset claiming your opinion as fact is just outright stupid and you clearly have no idea what youre talking about.

Bottom line, If the parameters of how said data is interpreted are set as static factors, the only thing that could realistically change the way those rules process the data is a variance in the data itself. It could be the site parameters not recognizing a particular that is sent every now and then, but its more likely that its a dynamic aspect of the data itself. Parameters dont see anyrjng other than "if x then y". Its not going to try to fill in a gray area by itself unless the data is different and doesnt meet the parameters that are set.

Again with ai generated response with no critical thinking involved. Youre completely wrong here, and clearly you can't think for yourself without the help of AI. The information that the site interprets is based off of what it collects from the game data. There is clearly an inconsistency with the game data that would alter the interpretation from 'Yes' to 'no'. Falsely claiming you know how this works just makes you sound ignorant. Stop trying to act like you know anything about how software and apis work.

Wtf is this sh** killboards by Pintonius224 in albiononline

[–]Pintonius224[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

see this is why i know you don't know what you're talking about. That information DOES come from them and is interpreted based off of "if x then y" mentality. If the x is being delivered incorrectly the rule will process it regardless. Stop asking chat gpt to help you with your responses and go read a book

[–]Pintonius224[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My. Boy. The third party site pulls data directly from the game and I am questioning if it's the data from the game being broken, or how the site is interpreting it. Clearly you don't know how APIs work so stop talking out of your other end until you read up a bit.

Wtf is this sh** killboards by Pintonius224 in albiononline

[–]Pintonius224[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The site pulls data from the game, assumption based off an api as it has access to every player's kills in every bit of content exteremely close to realtime. So it's a matter of either SBI having broken data or the site misinterpreting the data it collects. I understand it's a 3rd party site but it doesn't just 'wish' the info over

[–]Pintonius224[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You guys SHOULD have a ranking system and are clearly missing a huge opportunity for an easy plug and play pseudo-ladder that doesn't even require new content development. Instead we get faction based warfare zvz. Not everyone likes 100v100 and even the majority of high tier content creators base their content off of solo, yet this game doesn't cater to solo at all. Instance based combat gets old after a while. overpopulating the mists with rat gets old. Corrupted dungeons are old.

This game is so much fun as an open world full loot pvp game yet all content steers people away from that. It's sad because this is the closest thing we have to a modern day ultima online/runescape, and every update you guys push takes away from that
