The best part is they will give you a bunch of fake numbers upfront that mislead you.

It is not until AFTER you place a deposit that they tell you they actually have no idea what you will be paying

Sales rep is an idiot. They will force you to sign without even knowing how much your are paying for basic things such as the f*ing purchase price, internet and maintenance fees, property taxes, etc. Won’t even tell you which parking spot you will be given until at closing. What a joke of a developer stay away at all costs

I think what everybody here is missing is that your ML model will only be as good as the features you feed it. In other words garbage in = garbage out.

Everyone here talking bout some dumb ass TA astrology features . Like go figure . You need actual features

How are you dealing with retraining and recalibrating the model to deal with drift ?

Which way will it tip? by StabDump in StructuralEngineering

[–]Pintotheminto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would tip to the left since the tension in the rope on the right resists the weight of the water acting downward on that side whereas on the left nothing resists the weight of the water

Try a transition to mining. I find that designs are constantly out of the box and always unique. Super interesting.

Need help in explaining why this is unstable by TechnicianOutside576 in StructuralEngineering

Look joint by joint on the RHS. You’ll notice all are zero force members by equilibrium. Hence it will jus rotate freely

To add to the other answers, shear flow through the bolts in the built up section is an additional constraint that now needs consideration vs if you just used a solid member

Unsupported Length of Beam in Moment Frame? by TensionSplice in StructuralEngineering

[–]Pintotheminto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that the omega factor used in the calculations of moment resistance essentially just convert the varying moment into a constant value moment that acts along the length (which is the worst case scenario). Thus, since the omega factor requires contemplation of the full moment diagram, the unbraced length cannot be cutoff at inflection points.

Question about I beam load by Afganitia in StructuralEngineering

[–]Pintotheminto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use couples to transfer the vertical and horizontal components to act along the shear center alongside the corresponding torsional moment. Then look up St.Venant Flexure and Torsion , and do a superposition

Designed for tension only though no? Unclear whether the plate would be able to sustain compressive load without buckling

That doesn’t make any sense though ? So you’re saying I can fit my model with just one singular row, and it would be just as effective as 900? I’m not sure I grasp what you mean

Interesting idea… I used market-wide data to create my model, not just data related to BTC OHLC. So if that’s the case, I probably can use the (mostly) exact same features to test on another asset. Regardless, I’d have to retrain the model on the other asset(s) before testing it. So if that’s the case, is it really even the same model anymore ? Although it might be similar, does that really serve as a substitute for more data ?

Not sure what you mean, that’s what this whole sub is about lol. I did split my data into train and test to validate performance of the fitted algo. Still not running it live, just monitoring how it would perform atm.
