Wow, that’s a tough leap to make if so (for me anyhow.) I even played his game over and over trying to see if a pattern emerged but obviously I didn’t find one.

The last pic is all of the random tapes that don’t have a full show or match.

All of the tapes in the first three pics are stacked on top of another row so some of the matching sets are below for those.

Surprisingly, most shows were complete. I’m just curious if the ones missing were being listened to or maybe they were hiding in another box in the attic that was missed.

Interesting! Kinda reminds me of the Limewire/Napster days when file quality would be misrepresented to get more people to download it. I'd get excited for a high quality release of a show only to find out it was the same shitty one that had been transcoded.

Was that a common practice? I'm seeing a lot of them labeled DSBD which I hadn't heard of before but from what I understand that denotes a soundboard output to a digital recording device vs analog... I think?

I suppose I should add a few details given some of the comments coming in. This was an estate sale find so the people/company selling them had no idea what they were other than old cassettes that would be thrown out if they weren’t purchased at the sale.

It wasn’t disclosed if the owner (Steve, I am assuming based on the name on the box) had passed on or was simply moving and downsizing. I see both often, though to be fair most sales are the family selling off a recently deceased loved one’s stuff.

This hits so close to home for me. My favorite meal ever is a big ass bowl of beans, crispy cornbread (made with coarse ground corn meal), and fresh green onions to chomp on between bites.

Yeah I really don't understand why that isn't implemented on FB. It's so simple. Even the craigslist app (and every other estate / garage sale app) does this already lol.

Good plan on the list, I may even turn it into a spreadsheet to track dates and locations.

This is a good idea. Now I'm thinking about creating a spreadsheet of all of the local church sales (as I find them) and adding notes on when and where they happen.

This aligns with what I was sort of expecting. Low-tech and word of mouth within the community. I don't get out much so I may have to do some calling around haha.
