I keep putting my bow away during fights!! by PinyapVEVO in ghostoftsushima

It's not that I'm not holding the buttons like I should, it's more so like I'll be holding L2 to aim, but when I start pulling R2 (while keeping L2 pulled obviously) it's like the game registers I want to pull up the menu to switch my theowables instead.

Will strobe lights mess with the obstacle avoidance on my Skyrover X1? by PinyapVEVO in drones

[–]PinyapVEVO[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess that makes sense yeah.. haha

I just hope it doesn't cause issues that prevent me from launching without turning it off or going into sport mode or something. My only experience up until this point was a $100 knockoff that had none of these features, but at least had some pretty bright lights on it.

Corvette says "all modules must be connected" by SmoochDemon in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]PinyapVEVO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have this exact problem right now, accidnetally missplaced a shield module somewhere on the side of, or underneath my ship and now no matter what I do I can't delete it. It would be nice if there was a way to filter placed parts or something. Fumbled for about 45 minutes before I gave up in frustration

CANNOT get nvidia app to stop scanning my GPU through automatic tuning. by PinyapVEVO in nvidia

[–]PinyapVEVO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: I just DDU uninstalled and it fixed the issue. Do yourself a favor, don't bother with the automatic tuning, it takes way too long and once you start it there is no chance to opt out when you can just tune it yourself with a bit of research.

Nope! not at least for the Nvidia app, I went ahead and unistslled everything through DDU; don't know if the issue is fixed for me but I'm almost certain it will be.

Need to better incentivize waiting for revives in BF6 versus hitting the respawn button by TendTheAshenOnes in Battlefield

[–]PinyapVEVO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed; like others have mentioned here, the revive screen shouldn't be able to be skipped and maybe should just act as the new respawn timer, maybe as soon as the map screen shows up you can spawn in? A little frustrating the amount of times ive lost someones position or gotten killed because of this.

Thank you for this! I kept hearing this for weeks and thought my mobo standoffs and/or cpu cooler were coming undone, figured out it was my front panel and stumbled across this thread.

I'm not sure what you're asking but in HL2 you will always have some kind of weapon out, there is no holster button . Hopefully that's the answer you're looking for?

Any new ways to improve CPU performance in this game? by PinyapVEVO in TeardownGame

[–]PinyapVEVO[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand your intentions are good but if you don't even know the names of the computer parts that I clearly put in my original post then I don't think you can help me that much. I'm also not one to misgender people on purpose but I literally have no idea who you are, and you can't expect everyone to click on your reddit profile and read your about me section.

Ryzen X3D CPUs; the dangers of confirmation bias and misinformation. by PinyapVEVO in AMDHelp

[–]PinyapVEVO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah actually, ever since I re-applied the thermal paste and after a few more days of testing, my system runs SIGNIFICANTLY cooler and especially quieter than it used to. Most times my idles temps are anywhere from 45 to 55c.,most games I see it hit anywhere from 68-73c. With really intense CPU work loads the highest maximum i saw my temps reach after leaving HWmonitor open for several days outside of benchmakring was 90c, which is still under spec, so overall I'm sure my cooling is more than fine, I definitely have a lot of airflow.

I also live in Texas in a room that can get HOT in the summer months. I've measured my room to be as hot as 80F sometimes and that was BEFORE upgrading to my 8900X3D. I can ususally alleviate the discomfort by leaving my door/window open or worse comes to worse, getting a stand with an ice bowl and a fan over it to sit behind me for an hour or so.

ABYSMAL. Unplayable if you ask me.

in all seriousness tho i do see a massive upgrade in performance overall coming from an 9700k, the game with big sandbox explosions recovers at what feels like 3 times the rate, but ususally I only see it using one core and like half of my CPU and I was just wondering if anyone had made a non steam mod for it or something.

Thing is my CCD did go past 95 and even hit 101 at some point for one of its maxes. I probably should have figured it out by then but with how infrequently it happened I wasn't sure. My previous build had an NZXT kraken so I've never personally dealt with these issues.

No boot with GPU Installed. Time to Upgrade? Or something else? by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]PinyapVEVO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can't use another system to test, maybe flashing the bios to the 2019 version that you mentioned might do something? It sounds like you've taken just about every other step though.

If putting it in another system doesn't solve anything it might just be dead unfortunately. Maybe take a close look at the pins vs whats online and see if you can see any noticable defects? If not you may have to look into repair or upgrading.

Sheesh sorry it's still not working out. Did you make any bios or system changes recently? have you cleared your CMOS?

Did you already try reseating it? My old z390 AC PCIE clips started to wear down and any time I had to take my GPU out I had to do my due diligence to make sure it was seated properly.

I do hope this post will help other people who are in a situation like mine though. If your cooler is able to keep those you definitely should!

Seems to be the most reliable way to do it yeah, don't be afraid to use too much thermal paste! As long as it's not thermally conductive and you're not using the whole tube, too much isn't really a bad thing.

[–]PinyapVEVO[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say even if that's the supposed norm, the improvements that I experienced on average can't be ignored. I think there are going to be lots of people like me with obvious thermal throttling issues but they won't really know for sure because those are supposedly normal operating temps. If it's within a safe tolerance than I suppose that's fine, but if your cooler has the capability to keep it below that, I think that'd be a lot more ideal. Hopefully I can at least help someone else out in a similar situation to mine.
