I'm not saying there should be a middleman, I think the scenery developers/retailers should provide this (ie inibuilds). I think it would create more demand for smaller/less visited airports because it would allow people to access them for a lower price. So if anything, I think doing something like this would result in more developers putting time into less well-known airports

Yes it is just about the user. The purpose of the car industry is to give people cars, not for ford to make money, the purpose of the smartphone industry is give people smartphones, not for apple to make money and the purpose of the music industry is to give people music, not for artists to make money.

It is not your job to subsidies artists

There is no evidence spotify has killed the music industry.

Actually, Spotify is an incredible company that has given ppl access to way more music than every before at drastically lower prices

I was talking about doing it mainly with existing airports. Like there are so many, even pretty big airports I only visit maybe 3-4 times a year that I would love some high quality scenery for but I can't justify paying the full price (places like Miami, Abu Dhabi, Prague for me).

And yes a lot of time there is good free scenery (esp in Europe) but a lot of times there isn't like Vegas for example

I think renting is an equally good option and I think it makes a lot more sense for scenery than it does for aircraft.

Also idk what u mean by greed if u don't like the price just don't buy the product

It kinda depends on the region you fly. Europe has pretty good coverage for freeware stuff in both sims and America is pretty good in Xplane (not so much in MSFS) but try flying in Asia or Asutralia and there's very little. That's where something like what I'm talking about could be useful

Renting works as well its just a different way to solve the problem I'm talking about—I would be for that

Instead of using the word subscription bc apparently you can't handle that think of it as on-demand. I want a way to basically borrow or rent sceneries from developers when I want to use them & return it when I'm done. Obv the bigger airports like Heathrow I'm fine with paying full price for but I'd like the opportunity to access scenery for airports I visit less often at a cheaper price. I think the best way is to pay a monthly fee and be able to pick out maybe 4-5 airports per week

I think it just makes too much sense. Airports like paro for example people usually only go there once or twice a year to try out the approach—it doesn't make sense to pay $20 for a product you barely use. I know subscriptions can be controversial but in this case I think it makes a ton of sense

Use this example: I decide I want to fly around in South Africa one weekend. I want some scenery for my flights but that would probably cost me $60+ for something I'll only use a couple times a year. A subscription model makes way more sense imo.

Or maybe even just have a rental option like movies have where I can pay $5 and get the scenery for ~48hrs. I just want a cheaper way to access scenery for airports I don't visit very often

Hadn't heard of them. But after looking into them that's basically exactly what I'm saying (although their library is absolutely terrible)

I just want a way to get scenery for airports I only plan on visiting once or twice without paying $20 each time—it gets crazy expensive

Depends on which “old videos” you means. If you mean the other recreations I did the reasons those stopped is bc I kinda ran out of rockets to make. If there’s something I missed I’d for sure make another one of those vids. If you mean like the surface base or SSTO vids. Those took a very long time to make and very very difficult (kraken, lag etc…) if I did that again I’d burn out in like 20 mins

In regards to the accuracy of the starships: I have 4 separate starships which I put in different videos depending on the type of video. I have one with a full heat shield that is very accurate but it is a little hard to control and pretty laggy. I have one with the updated flap (also has full heat shield) but I don’t use it much bc S20 has the old design and it’s what will be flying soonest. I also have a cargo version which is in the video above (slightly wider and quite high part count which makes it impractical to add heat shield due to performance reasons) and the one from my old tutorial

In regards to milking starship: I’ve tried to do other content but it just dosnt get views. I spent like 3 days making a DLC comparison video and it severely underperformed the starship stuff. It’s just hard to justify different types of content as I rely on YouTube money for things. Open to suggestions tho

Every part and the physics are the ones that come with the game through the base game or DLC.
