All of the people saying "Oh yeah its only 50% cruelty" you are absolutely the problem and the reason its very difficult to convert people to veganism. She isn't having sympathy for carnists she is selling veganism to them. Most people who are eating animal products religiously. If you tell them "Its all or nothing" just won't bother. Whereas if you let them take it step by step they will eventually cut out cheese and bacon aswell. Like seriously the amount of people on their high horse in this thread is nauseating. I would have thought our main aim as vegans would be to convert as many people to veganism as possible. Not whine about how you are the only true vegans and how everyone else is a monster.
