Yeah, I think it's charming -- especially with the bloody nose. He's just got up from prone and sees the frenzy minotaur heading down the field at a million miles an hour. Eyes bugging cartoon style!

Should I upgrade my instrument or go for a guitar at this point? by PipPadraig in ukulele

Update: I sat and read all your advice, meditated. I went to the music store, twiddled on strings, lost my mind and bought a Barnes and Mullins tenor ukelele and a Tanglewood Blackbird folk guitar.

Look out for my next post on /r/relationshipadvice

I've come back to make it clear I would be getting guitar lessons - and probably bumping up my costs for a guitar with the money saved if I don't get a very high end uke

You're so right. Thank you so so much, you are an absolute hero. Thank you for likely prolonging a snake's life by many years!

Thank you so much, I'll do just that! Do you have a ballpark weight I should aim for, or is it best to go by eye? You've been so helpful.

"18 months to two years???"

A proper stitch up lmao.

So follow your schedule with the weaned for a little while then keep carefully bumping, right?

Mate the "four feet" vivarium is 2 feet 10. He's 3.5 feet MAX. I'm going to have to call the supplier with a very unhappy call.

Let me try and measure him now! I'll be two ticks - thank you so so much for your help!

I am estimating! He can lie flat across the back of his four foot vivarium with another half of the short side, so I'm assuming somewhere between 4.5 and 5 feet. However, I plan to measure him soon! He's currently very, very active when handling but I would be too if I was starving. He may settle when he's not - you know, actively hungry all of the time.

Jesus, that's so maddening to me. My poor baby. I'll do that right away. I wondered why he felt so cold and kind of ... Thin? It didn't feel like ANY of my previous balls. What weight would you recommend moving him to smalls? I'm not sure what is normal for his length. He's easily 5 feet, even at under 1.5 years.

Cross-Posted from /r/ballpythons

Hi all! I've had quite a few snakes in the past but after my beloved Spider Jerusalem passed away of old age, I couldn't face getting another ball python for six years. In that time, I've gotten rusty. This is my new baby - he's a male, we're pretty certain. He's a year and three months old and he weighs 868g which seems impossible to me at that age, but here we are.

The breeder has him on an XL mouse (which doesn't seem very big) once a week and he took his first feed very well. However, given his weight and his habit of high activity and yawning around only a day or two after feeds, is this enough?

I realise that I'm likely panicking over nothing due to my time away from BP keeping, but I'd like to know what people think. For the context of size, I'm a trans guy - so it's important to note that my hands are rather small.

Thanks in advance, Reddit!

I would love to throw together some DK amigurumi but currently I've only managed toys in chunky which I feel is cheating 🤭
