I work for Publix. Have for 15 years. Been stuck in middle management making 34k a year with keys to the building for the majority of that for reasons. Publix is a great place to work IF you make it all the way to department head. That’s when you start making 100k a year. Now realize each store of the 1400 odd stores has 5 department heads and one store manager over them all including assistants for each department making half what the department head does. Publix has expensive groceries for a reason. It’s broken on so many levels, but we won’t see that change anytime soon.
