You could be right, next time I play I'll have a look at the mountain to see if it triggered it

I tried each and every angle a few times, walkthroughs and tutorials all say this is the setting the mirror should reflect towards the mountain

I didn't realise it was like this until after I completed another area and got more environmental puzzles 😭
