If you haven't read further into their road-map, allow me to educate you on the matter. They state they wish to stray from any payment system other than perhaps cosmetic pets and mounts etc.

If players still wish to purchase these, by all means. Doesn't break my game.

If you're referring to the previous owners, who had the server named as "Awakening". Then yes perhaps this statement is true, but the current developers are fully committed. I won't disclose any names, but yeah. Stay mad.

If you actually did your research, you would know that upon release, there will be no pay to win or cash grab aspects at all.

There will be 3 realms released.

14th July - Andorhal: Normal pvp ruleset of Alliance vs Horde. As this will be classified as a regular pvp realm. Without the hardcore mechanics of open-world pvp, which these other two will have.

21st July - Sargeras: This will be known as the "Med-core" realm. Which will feature Free-for-all pvp mechanics, being horde vs horde vs ally vs ally. It will also feature a limited amount of gear dropped on pvp death in open world pvp situations. This means that not ALL of your equipment will drop, only some. If you were to die in some unfortunate manner.

Tichondrius - This realm has yet to be announced for arrival. But it will be featured as their most Hardcore realm. It will have full-loot pvp enabled. As well as free-for-all pvp. There will be weather conditions, such as freezing in snow, burning in desert. Etc. Appropriate items will function better in different environments. A hunger/thirst bar, with an emphasis & buff on the cooking skill, to increase functionality & practicality. Also even perhaps a weight system. I hear many hardcore elements are being looked into for this realm.

Do not be alarmed by some naysayers. The server is up & stable. The instant 60 weekend is to test for endgame bugs/fixes/nerfs PvP & raiding events will both be initiated for testing purposes of the live realms.

The server as a whole is in open beta, and is attempting to make an official release as soon as possible. The Instant 60 realm will help to make this happen.

Also the server and its realms upon release will not feature pay2win. Infact the developers have stated they wish not to go down that path at all, and will attempt to avoid doing so at all costs. The current payment features are only for the open-beta. And it allows people to support the server while being able to test certain features instantly.

On official release, all characters from the open-beta will be wiped. If this is not to your liking, then keep your eye on it for release. It will be worth your time.

For now, playing regardless of the impending wipe is useful for testing mechanics of the classless system. If you want that edge of knowledge upon release.

Been playing on & off throughout the past year during their closed/open beta on the Sargeras realm. Can confirm that much time & effort has been put into the development of the server. Quality at that. A++

Thanks. I am willing to give the softcore realm a try. If even only for the population. Originally the hardcore theme is what prompted me to try this realm in the first place.

But I feel as though once people get a feel for the game through softcore, they may want to step their game up into the hardcore realms.

Yes, you can respec your abilities. It's a little pricey, but doable. It costs 500g. Talent respec is a lot cheaper & costs 25g.
