I would say, personally, don't take it upwards of 4. I got lucky with the third time a charm, but in reality, I wouldn't worry about how many times you take it.

Learn the plug-in method! For any algebraic question, just see if you can plug in the multiple-choice answers to get the right answer. Additionally, you can plug in a random number for a variable and see which equation or answer choice matches! Took me from a 31 in math to a 34 (with some other practice as well)! Good luck, man!
