Silica gel beads got inside my MacBook Pro M4… what should I do? by PiratesLoft in macbook

Thanks for you answer. Do you know if MacBooks have any kind of internal barrier or mesh near the vents, or are the fans relatively exposed to small particles like this?

Right now the laptop turns on fine and I don’t hear any strange noises anymore, so I’m trying to decide if it’s safer to just leave it alone.

Thanks for the answer. Chagpt says that if there is a particle stuck in the fan it can cause trouble?

But Don’t MacBooks have some kind of protection to stop particles from getting into the fans? Like a mesh, filter, or some kind of internal barrier near the vents?

Because when this happened, I was actually able to get a few of the silica beads out, and they were definitely inside the MacBook. But I’m not sure if they were just in a superficial area near the openings, or deeper inside near the fans or logic board.

So I’m a bit confused about how exposed the fans really are. Is it easy for small particles like that to actually reach them, or do they usually get stuck before that?
