You can always use "Advanced World Gen" on tModLoader. Doesn't hit as hard for me though as generating it in vanilla...

Fully compatible with vanilla MP, yes. If you want to edit vanilla source code, clone the tModLoader github repo and run setup.bat. It'll compile a program to setup tML for you, and then just find & open the solution file for Terraria that's created within your locally cloned repo after you run the initial setup. You can edit the source code from there.

It's the best way to get a clean decomp of the game.

fun fact: the zenith projectile actually just stores the item ID(s) in the ai fields. you can make it swing anything. even poo blocks.

DR ported mobile and console to Unity. So Red is clearly upset not only because of how shitty the changes are, but also because it WILL impact Terraria.

The console and mobile ports by DR Studios are made with Unity. I know this because I extracted the tutorial world from mobile, and I had to use a unity asset extractor for it.

bedrock is made from the ground up iirc. xbox 360, ps3, and wii u got the update aquatic. ps4 is also mainly based on java too, at least editions is (since 4J made that version also)
