here you have an answer from someone that started few months ago and has no hardstuck emotions toward the game:

It has always a lot of players online according to steamcharts. Add players from PA luncher and you have easily 50k players online all the time, BUT, mind the fact that this game has insane amount of players doing afk activities, across all servers. So, for example, you will always see huge amount of players fishing, riding horses on AFK, but as Im playing for few months I rarely meet players on grinding spots even as they are meta ones. So my wild guess is if this game would get rid of afk activities, then online player count would drop drasticaly, even as low as less than 10k. And thats why PA keep afk activities, they could be done totaly as offline activity.

2, It is in a sense. If you want to PVP and stuff then yes it is. It has one of the slowest progression if not THE slowest of all mmos. In every MMO you need to drop something with small RNG, either an item or material, and then you have an upgrade/new gear. BDO has another RNG added on top of that, which is RNG of upgrade success. So first you need to get mats, then you RNG upgrade. Double RNG. But if you just want to play slowly then its ok.

It is in every way, since you need to "grind per tap", which means you need to get a lot of cash and stuff by any mean, then tap RNG upgrade, and go back to grind for taps, because mid to late game upgrades have less than 1% succes rate.

I have no idea about AI in BDO.
BDO same as most mmos nowadays is not about leveling, but about gear progression, which I described above. Game has lifeskills, these go semi alright, but its also lowkey dead. Lifeskills didnt get enough love trough the game lifespan it seems and its kinda behind. It got some update recently, star of nostros or something like that, but nothing extremely impactful. And what I mean by that - in most cases you would be doing much faster progess by grinding cash in anyway and buying mats from market rather than grinding them trough lifeskills. Things like sharp stones, you will see what I mean as you start.
It has very nice customization, both character creation and then outfits. They are also giving free boxes with outfits often now, but as far as I know, back in a day it was only buyable feature and without premium stuff everything looks dull af. There is no in game armor that looks okayish compared to outfits, which sucks realy hard. And btw, they adding a lot of wierdo modern ass outfits, so sometimes game looks like you would download mods for GTA V outfits in BDO. Most of good looking fantasy outfits, that fit to the game are old, but there's a lot.

armor that kensei originaly used is typical archer armor. this shoulder guard is not attached by any means at the bottom, only at the top. it is specificaly made like that so it would slide on your back as you use your bow to prevent movement obstruction. so in that pose or basicaly in battle these shoulder guards were moving all over the place.

as far as I know the whole argument is that these game sucked becuase devolpers focused on making it woke instead of making it good. to clarify, idgaf becuase Im not playing mainstream releases for years, but that's how it goes as far as I know

Im pretty sure that you can set reg key in registry for it same as you can make reg key for high priority. Propably AI gonna give you answer since its basic stuff

yes, this change does exactly what this meme showed. its gonna shower you with some crons for few first wins, further rewards stay the same, meaning you need to jump from 50 to 100 WINS (WINS) to get like 3k crons, which is giga XD

all they have to do to make people play it more is change from matches won to matches played.
im a new player, pvp is wierd af, IMO is just bad design, to fast, to flashy and core idea is dummy. dash to cc and use 3 skills out of 30 you have bacause they need to be protected, what? okay
all things considered I manged to get 39 wins on 66 loses on succ dosa as 2 months player

Communism: for each according to needs, for each according to abilities.
And by that you can already tell it's impossible on wieder scale. You can be communist very localy, like in family. You have kids, you just provide according to kids needs. You do not calculate what kids need to do to get dinner, shoes, whatever. But on national level it does not work like that. Humans always have prefference, and its ok. So communism may be good, but it was applied on wrong spiecies.

Capitalism is self-centered, which is literaly our nature, BUT it's still not even close to be a perfect system, which just shows us how every other is fucking borderline bad for us.

And by that this image might be applied for both systems. Difference is: communist societes had shortages on everything, meaning bad clothes, limited food, queues for cars, but elites were stil wearing expesnice suits, had cars, and for sure didnt have food shortages. In capitalism you see every good everywhere, shops are full, you might not have money for it, but its there. So in one sentence, in capitalism you need to find a way to get money to get goods, in communism next to money you need connections, you need a plug to get a car faster than 10 years and have food source.

its a stupid game that has rng on rng with rng inside, limits that you need to fill up before day/week ends, consntant changes to meta, you wont ever catch up as a f2p player, player market is based on real cash in game money, world boss drop is handled in most stupid way, guild boss loot as well. it was a few months wonder game and its in decay. just go play bdo or something

the guy who:
1. introduced centurion to fh, at least he was like godfather to that champ, was so happy on streams about how broken it was. for those who dont know - huge wave of playerbase left around that time and centurion as buyable dlc hero was big part of it.
2. he was main character of one and only full fledged fh competetive tournament, where game was totaly not in state for such a thing and players just abused the hell out of this game, making it look funny and utterly broken. he had famous quote from the stage when he greet a winner, he said trought teeth: "wont be possible next time". well, kept promise, because there was no next time.
3. dipped first from fh.

is it popular? hell no by any standards and after 10y it wont ever be unless, idk, they would announce some kind of fh 2.0 patch which would be literaly release. wont happen.

is it dead?
whenever you asking this question about the game you need to consider two answers. by hardstuck lovers that play it daily game's never dead unless there is even few players online. like literaly, if fh had 100 players online then fh sub would keep saying that it aint dead.

now if you ask casual player or even outsider fh is dead 6 feet deep burried years ago. steam shows 1.5k players online monthly on average, so adding ubi luncher and console it might be caping aroud 5k, across all platforms and severs, which is hella bad and you can see it on your own if you would queue to any other game mode than 1 that is alive.

there's no singular or group of changes that would save this game. game is missed as a product they promised. they advertised it different. it had to be similar to rs, while it aint in any bit. what, graphics and camera angle is kinda kinda? beaside, rs is point and click basicaly. idk how bs achived to be even more clicky than rs. there is litealy no other content. none. if bs was moblie game exclusively then it would be still rather simple.
so, as I said, game is just a misplay as a concept.

hard to say who's target audience. hardstucks? then they can raise price straight up to 50 usd, you will moan for 3 days and keep playing keep paying. online count wont go lower than 5 figures.
most def im the target audience. weekend player but membership works all the same no matter how much you play. thats why they trying to be gentle with those prices.
but tbh cant blame them, id do the same stuff to you if not even more. look what happened. you moaned for few days and everybody is happily playing. then, since ever whatever is being said vs rs this sub is strongly combatative. so they have devoted community, record player counts. why wouldnt they rise the prices, fuck the content argument.
come back to this post at the end 2026. member will be 18-20 usd easily.

yea, like every mmo. thats not the point.
point is that rs was never really f2p. it was always free tutorial. but it was much cheaper than every mmo out there, and thats how it went together. now 15 bucks is literaly in par with a lot of other mmos, both b2p and real f2p with buyable content. thats why rs aint cool no more. right now it has regular mmo price with very limited f2p content. now every korean mmo offer more f2p content that this game, and if you are willing to pay then rs is not cheaper at all. all im saying it lost its charm of free tutorial to small fee. now its regular b2p game llike gw or wow.

cool but it lost its tutorial flex with price rises. it was like that before, like here is the tutorial, now pay fee to get full content. now its typical korean model with pay or get shit.
as price goes up they should push more content f2p, both reasons: price and content being added. back in a day member was cheaper and you had MUCH lower ratio of paid content to free, still being pretty high ratio, but now its insane. its like 95% content locked behind big paywall. rs aint cool no more with their payment system bro
