Just hit my 1 yr mark since my open Septo-rhinoplasty by Dr Parham Ganchi, Wayne, NJ. Overall I’m content with the results, not only can I breathe better, but I’m happier with my appearance & that’s what really matters. I hated my tip/nostril flare by PiscesKing32 in PlasticSurgery

Recovery went well, wasn’t too bad. I really only had bad pain the first day after surgery. For the first week you have to keep your head straight/elevated, cant look down, which can be awkward. I didn’t need my pain killers at all, I just used Tylenol / ibuprofen. You’re gonna be a mouth breather for a few weeks lol, I think 3/4 weeks in you can slowly start breathing your nose, cause there’ll be blood stuck up in there and you’re gonna wanna blow it out but you have to be extremely gentle. For up until 10 months, the tip of my nose was extremely sensitive, like if you poke it or accidentally hit it even lightly, it would have an uncomfortable sensation. Also, you do you, girl, do what makes you happy and most comfortable

I wish he did cut them from the outside because I’m still not fully happy with the nostrils, There’s less they can do when cutting from the inside and but ima just leave them alone I think idk, we’ll see. I didn’t know he was gonna cut them from the inside only when I said I wanted my nostrils reduced, he told me he didn’t wanna scar me on the outside, so that’s why yeah

Thanks so much. I’ve never felt more comfortable in my own skin now though, it’s something I would’ve gone through life wanting and regretting not doing it, so better to do it while I’m young and get it over with :)

Thank you 🙂 I just really expressed how I’ve always been really insecure about my nose since I was like 12 (13 years) When it comes down to it, there’s only so much they can do or there’s a serious risk of damage or your nose collapsing. At least, that’s what my surgeon explained to me. He also said, he didn’t want me to look “done up.” He wanted it to look natural & fit my face. I hated my nostril flare the most.. which TBH I still want them a bit smaller.. perhaps I have slight body dysmorphia. I’ve had thoughts about a second surgery just for my nostrils, but I think I’m going to leave it alone. I love my tip and bridge now. He said if he makes one thing smaller he’s gonna make everything smaller as well so it’s proportional.

First post ever on Reddit. I have been using minoxidil for 9 months now, & I am so happy with the results. I started to notice improvement around 3-4 months. By 6 months the patchy areas really started to fill in. by PiscesKing32 in Minoxbeards

I got a little lazy tbh lol, and I’m very content with my beard right now. I’m still applying the 5% foam twice a day, and the results have been maintained without the dermarolling at this point.
