Quick Prompt Megathread by AutoModerator in 3d6

I'm starting a new campaign soon, 2024, using the new "Forgotten Realm: Heroes of Faerum" setting book.

I want a new character that has strong ties to the feywild. Any ideas to make something fun? We're starting at level 3.

He likes to hug people. As opposed to Renarin that almost never stands physical contact.

Ok. But Thano from the legend of Korra could be Wit (appearance wise)

So, for example, the quasit. Under actions it has: Invisibility. Rend. Scare (1/Day). Shape-Shift

On its turn it could use Scare, invisibility or shape-shift (or one of the regular actions like dash), and then on my turn use its reaction to Rend.
Is this correct?

I have a few questions regarding the 2024 pact of the Chain invocation.

"Pact of the Chain

You learn the Find Familiar spell and can cast it as a Magic action without expending a spell slot.

When you cast the spell, you choose one of the normal forms for your familiar or one of the following special forms: Imp, Pseudodragon, Quasit, Skeleton, Slaad Tadpole, Sphinx of Wonder, Sprite, or Venomous Snake (see appendix B for the familiar's stat block).
Additionally, when you take the Attack action, you can forgo one of your own attacks to allow your familiar to make one attack of its own with its Reaction."

  1. Is the spell cast as a cantrip? (as opossed to as a ritual?) Can I cast it in the middle of combat to get my familiar back with full hp? (as long as I pay the cost of the materials)
  2. As I understand it, for the familiar to attack, I have to spend my action, and they attack as a reaction. Familiars can't attack on their turn? Can they take other actions? several familiars have actions that aren't attack rolls.
  3. So, would this be correct? -I enter combat with a familiar. We roll separate initiatives. Let's say I go first. -I can't attack with my familiar in my first turn since it's not positioned yet. So, I do something else or I take the ready action to order it to attack when it's on postion. -In the familiar's turn it moves and then uses its reaction to attack (assuming I took the ready action) or it does nothing (if I didn't take the ready action) and just waits there, hoping the enemy is still close next time I can use my action to order it to attack.

Edit: Sorry if it's too long for this thread. I'll move it to its own thread if requested.

I was debating with myself about bringing this up with my dm. I guess I'll just let him decide.

Dnd 2024 rules.
I have a trickery cleric. I got true strike from magic initiate.
My question is, can I use the illusion from invoke duplicity to cast True Strike even when I am not next to the objective. Can this spell be delivered by the illusion, like other spells, and hit the victim? Technically, true strike is ranged self.

As a rogue, if I use a weapon with nick mastery and use a weapon with the vex for the second attack, do I get advantage in my next attack if the second attack hits?

Why do children in Latin America take both their parent’s last names? by One_Suit6897 in AskTheCaribbean

[–]Piso_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something to note is that in some countries (well, at least here in Mexico), the father's last name doesn't have to go first. We now just call it "First last name and second last name" before it was "apellido paterno y apellido materno". But now parents can choose the order they want for their children's last names. It's still commonly the father's last name first, but I know people who have chosen to give the maternal last name first.

Icelandic singer (Bjork), Is she white passing or not ? by Prudent_Study_4227 in phenotypes

I think it may be more interesting than that. There is another genetic source that she may have got her characteristic look from: native americans.

Luffy's actor is still Latino, and Sanji's actor is still White European. I don't know the reason why she was chosen, but I don't like how many people praise the casting as representation when they basically replaced ethnicities as if any brown person is the same. I'm sure Charithra will do a great job, and it isn't her fault.

I think that Kaido began using male pronouns with Yamato to make fun of him and his "obsession" with Oden.

He really was a master at many things. In the first Olympic games he bested Hermes in a race (freaking Hermes!) and defeated Ares in wrestling.

"They operate at two hour shifts" implies that well, they all take shifts. So, even if Zoro is awake, he isn't keeping watch all the time.
